We stayed here a week and it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The garden is lovely and the wifi is strong. The fan rooms are fine -- clean, large enough. But the price, 500 baht, is ridiculous. Indeed, I saw quite a few people walk in and walk out when they heard the price. Unbeknownst to me, it's easy... More

All Suriya (We called him RI-ya.) knew when he picked us up was our wish to ride the elephants. He quickly realized our interests were much broader. Yes, the elephant riding was lots of fun for my wife and me. The ox cart and river rafting were bonuses but these could be experienced with other tour companies. He recognized our... More

I and my family staid there first 2 nights and we made sure that on our return to Chang Mai to have 2 rooms booked. The place is a green oasis, basic but clean room, good hot shower but the cherry on the top is Noi, the owner/ receptionist who was extremely helpful and friendly and took special care that... More

Unique and excellent. It's a nice and quiet hostel which is inside the old town. It is hostel's policy to be quiet at night, so I was able to have a very good night sleep. There's a small bar and very well-decorated garden in the hostel. The owner takes really good care of her hostel, and was very helpful. Only... More

Super friendly staff and everything you would want in a guest house. The Rama Tour with Ya was a great experience! Ya knows what to see and it was a pleasure learning about northern Thailand from him. We would highly recommend a tour with Ya while staying at the Rama Guest House.

The rooms are basic but very reasonable price, 400 baht per room for a double fan room. The rooms weren't cleaned when we were there but that didn't bother us. Great for backpackers! Ask for towels/ loo roll if needed. Great chilled out area outside good for relaxing. Noi is lovely and very friendly. She also runs the travel agency... More

It is charming. Fred (at the bar, long hair, a big Harley Davidson parked inside, always excellent music) and his wife are very friendly. The place is nice, quiet, very green. And there's a pool table ! No breakfast nor restaurant, but check Angel's Secret, 10m from there.

The rooms are no frills to say the least but have some nice flair that similarly priced competitors lack. Sheets were clean, A/C worked, and water pressure was high. Downsides: we lost hot water one evening and the cleaning staff missed some ladies underwear hanging on the back side of the bathroom door. The highlights are the common areas (beautiful),... More
