Clean, reasonably comfortable and reasonably priced. The location is exquisite: in a soi (small street/back alley), so really quiet, but half a corner away from Ratchadamnoen, so right in the center. Many services and restaurants around, not to mention the very close night market. The common area is lovely and comfortable, the service is adequate (we were not bothered by... More

Three min walking distance to Sunday market. Walking distance to temples in old city. The staff were helpful but limited in english. Various restaurants and travel agencies around so no need to worry about your stomach. The room were clean and tidy esp the toilet, good wifi coverage.

This is the first place I stayed in Thailand and it has given me excellent experience. The location is perfect if you're deciding to stay in the old city area. You could find various choices of good food, especially Thai food. Very close to places you have to visit and attend. Excellent value of money. Highly recommended.

The staff helped with holding our bags when we went on treks and saving our room when our train was late. Although English is limited it is enough to help out. Room was on the 3rd floor and very basic but the seating and breakfast area downstairs was really nice! Only problem was, they booked us into a bus to... More

The best location! About 100meters to start point of Tha-Phae walking street. I was stayed here for 4 nights in fan room on the third floor. Everything is very clean. Bathroom is very small but clean and provided all enough. On rainy season, the room is very hot in day time and cool down in the evening. However, i think... More

A basic B&B with a real good breakfast included. The room was large, clean, and the lounge area was cool. The girl at the desk was the nicest you could imagine, and very helpful with any requests. This is a good stay!

Friendly, homely, clean, central and cheap! We stumbled on this guest house when exploring the lane ways of old Chaing Mai. It is located only 3 to 5 mins walk from Tha Pae gate, but is off a side street in its own little enclave, so is very peaceful and quiet. From the start, the staff made us so welcome... More

As soon as I arrived at Baan Jaa Jaa, the lovely Jaa at reception immediately made me feel very welcome. The double room with AC was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Towels were provided and the hot water in the bathroom was really hot. The chill out area in the middle of the patio is really nice with... More

We arrived late due to two our flight from Delhi and our connecting flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai being delayed. It was midnight when we pulled up outside and we were concerned that no one would be around. How wrong we were. A lovely lady (all be it a little sleepy) greeted us and showed us to our room.... Let me start w a disclaimer: we walked into our room and immediately booked a hotel. So we did not experience daytime or the "garden," etc. I was under the impression that guest houses in CM were like B&Bs, but they're hostels w private rooms. Trip advisor does not include star ratings for non-hotels, but now that I check, this... More
