The Lotus Hotel was the first gay hotel in Chaing Mai and is starting to show its age. The staff are friendly, the garden cafe and bar is a nice place to relax, and the location is on a quiet side street with plenty of cheap Thai food nearby. That said, it is a little outside the city center and... More

Everyone at the Lotus made my extended stay (from Aug thru Nov 2014) a very enjoyable stay. The staff and great room made my extended stay feel like I was at home. This was my 2nd extended stay at the Lotus. The staff were very attentive and did a lot to make my stay very enjoyable. The food at the... More

I have stayed at this hotel over the years and this was the last time. When I arrived and went to my room, beside the sink was the glass vase that used to hold the orchid that was placed in the room. Empty vase...no orchid. I turned down the sheet and the bottom sheet had a large stitch over what... More

I met up with some friends there and It has become my Favorite place to chill. Not overcrowded and the barman named Boi looked after us so well, a real asset to the place. I love tyhat its quiet enough so you can talk and chill with friends and not have to compete with loud music, Also Ken the local... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and always find it perfect. It is set in a lovely garden, and is not obvious from the street....it`s more like a private hotel. I stayed here for four days, and my advice is to get one of the Delux or Superior rooms, as they are spacious and roomy,... More

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Airport transfer available. Continental breakfast very basic (tea and toast). The scrambled egg ( 1 egg!) Was fine. Restaurant/bar food was good and nicely presented. Hotel is old Thai style and therefore very dark interiors so go slow on the stairs. Bedrooms are on three floors with no lift so third floor can be a... More

We booked our room for 10 days but I got sick so we had to come 3 days later. The staff was so helpfull and we didn't have to pay anything for the three nights. The hotel has a good location with walkingdistance to the beach and the partystreet. The room was cleen and big and the breakfast was okey.... More

I stayed here through New Years and was eagerly anticipating my first visit to Chiang Mai in this hotel. Highly disappointed. I had one of the loft rooms and it's not too bad. Lots of in room amenities to use but it needs some serious updating. (Although the bathroom looks pretty up to date, so no qualms there) I paid... More

It was new year's eve and it's a last minute thing. So I didn't have a choice in the room or price. Spend 2 nights at this hotel. I chose this hotel because their website photos looked impressive and it's opposite a gay bar. The reception was courteous and intuitive. I was given important information without asking. The room was... More

Unless it is important for you to stay across the street from a gay bar. The room I stayed in was cold, noisy, not cleaned well and generally a little long in the tooth except a new floor. The mattress was shot, caved in toward the middle and squeaked with every turn. There were ants in the bathroom. The small... More
