We stayed three nights and were very pleased with our room, the staff, the pool, and the location. We arrived from Kunming with a small mountain of luggage. I asked for an upper floor room and the staff cheerfully carried our luggage upstairs for us and left our room before I could even get my wallet out to give them... More

My wife & I stayed at Vieng Lanna Mantra for 11 nights, this is the second time we have stayed here. Unfortunately our second stay was nowhere near as good as our first. There have been a few changes at the hotel over the last 14 months since our previous visit but I can't say any have been for the... More

We stayed here for two nights after staying in a very bad hotel the two nights previous! This place was a welcome relief! The pool is nice, our room was immaculate, our bathroom was great as well! The best thing about however was the staff, they're the friendliest I've come across in South East Asia!! We arrived late for breakfast... More

This is a pretty little boutique hotel in a great central location, just near the Taphae Gate in the old city walls. We had a room with a balcony which overlooked the pool. It was very comfortable, if a little small. Bathroom was tired and dated, but perfectly useable. Staff were friendly and helpful, as is usual in Thailand. It... More

The hotel is hidden away slightly from the main road which is lovely and means the pool side can be relaxing! Lovely pool area and backdrop to the pool, very pretty and Thai inspired murals. Claiming music which is always great near the pool and a great bar for drinks with lovely staff. Could possibly have a few more sun... More

Pretty hotel with attentive staff. Good location within the walls of the old town. Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the pool. Delicious food and good cocktails - try the mojitos! Very good breakfast. Easy to find tuktuks and hotel staff booked taxis with no fuss.

Genuinely nothing to fault this hotel. Rooms were gorgeous, spacious, with little balconies overlooking (the very picturesque) swimming pool. The courtyard pool is lovely and very peaceful. Breakfasts were a variety of Thai and Western cuisine and were delicious. Staff could not have been more helpful, were very friendly and available 24 hours. The location is good, easy to get... My travel partner and I during our time in Chiang Mai relocated from a hotel residence on the fringes on the city to the much more centrally located and accessible Vieng Lanna Mantra halfway through our stay. The hotel is located in a more relaxed, slow paced and particularly Bohemian side street of the city, even with its close proximity... More

We stayed 3 nights at Vieng Mantra with our 3 kids after having a rather bad experience in a guesthouse nearby. Although the price was double than in the guesthouse, our stay was worth every penny. You cant beat price for value: nice rooms, a great pool and an absolutely delicious restaurant. Not to forget the extremely friendly staff and... More

My family and I stayed at Vieng Mantra for 4 nights. It was my husband first trip to Thailand...and it was awsome. This little boutique has a great location and easy to get aroung town. Lots of shops and place to eat. It was very quiet in the evening. The staff are very friendly and helpful on giving direction to... More
