My travel partner and I during our time in Chiang Mai relocated from a hotel residence on the fringes on the city to the much more centrally located and accessible Vieng Lanna Mantra halfway through our stay. The hotel is located in a more relaxed, slow paced and particularly Bohemian side street of the city, even with its close proximity... More

We stayed 3 nights at Vieng Mantra with our 3 kids after having a rather bad experience in a guesthouse nearby. Although the price was double than in the guesthouse, our stay was worth every penny. You cant beat price for value: nice rooms, a great pool and an absolutely delicious restaurant. Not to forget the extremely friendly staff and... More

My family and I stayed at Vieng Mantra for 4 nights. It was my husband first trip to Thailand...and it was awsome. This little boutique has a great location and easy to get aroung town. Lots of shops and place to eat. It was very quiet in the evening. The staff are very friendly and helpful on giving direction to... More

we stayed here for 3 nights, it was the cheapest hotel we had booked so we were abit worried. No need. A well run family business, small with lovely, compact but clean rooms. And the on-site restaurant was lovely. Great food, so relaxed staying here. Would fully recommend to any couples staying, we loved it.

Stated at the hotel for 10 nights great location in the old city. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful looking pool but very cold, possibly because doesn't get much sun on it. Right next to the Sunday market.

Location: 5 min walk to Thapae Gate, good for first time travelers. Grounds: Very quiet, rooms surround the pool, and 6 other rooms in another annexed building. No elevator, but max 3 floors. Pool was really cold, and was about 120 cm deep all the way (for kids bring flotation devices), it was really enjoyable at mid-day. Staff: Very polite... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and when we arrived our room wasn't ready, which was fine. We ventured out around town until we came back and had lunch across the street at cooking love. Highly recommend going there. We did 2 times during your stay. You can actually order at the hotel and order there food bc... More

The hotel is in a great location in the old city. An easy walk to all attractins in the old city. Not too far (easy walk) to night markets and close to many good plces o eat or get a great coffee. The hotel is neat, clean and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is good and the assistance... More

I loved this place from the moment I arrived, its in a fantastic location and as I was travelling alone, it was good to be close to everything, and the old city is just beautiful. My room was clean, it over looked the pool, which i didnt use as it was a bit chilly when i was there, but looked... More

We stayed one night on our honeymoon and I'd say it is good value for the location. Right in the old city centre so you can walk to everything including cooking schools and tour pick ups. Room was a decent size with its own balcony. Only disappointment was bathroom seemed a bit dated and it wasn't fully cleaned when we... More
