We were lucky enough to find this place right away and while it was not the cleanest it was the cheapest. At 240 baht/night for a double room with fan and private bathroom it was the cheapest accommodation we found in Thailand. The room was not super clean but it was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very nice and... More

Had a nice Thai dinner here very cheap. Service is typical Thai...slow and basically non existent but the food was great. Basic surroundings of wooden trestle style tables but worth going for a meal. Close to ThaPae Gate and very crowded area on Sunday at night with markets

Me and my friend stayed here for 5 nights while in chiang mai. It was just what we needed.. Nice restaurant downstairs.. Nice room with own bathroom. We got the twin fan room and it was 240 a night so between us it was 120 each a night.. Really good location aswell

My first visit to Ching Mai and I was told to make sure you try Khoa Soi a tradition fried noddle soup of northern Thailand. Didn't pick Darets, just happened to be a few doors down from the barber where I had a trim. The place is very simple fronting the main road. Lunch and there must be 20 people... More

The food was all right. Tasted pretty bland but was edible. The staff was very strange though. They hovered over us while we decided what to get, while we ate, and then while we were getting our money together. There are many better restaurants in the area for similar prices. I'd recommend going somewhere else.

We did not stay at the inn but had lunch at the restaurant. Great food, in a good location, next to Tha Pae Gate. My Pad Thai was delicious as were our Morning Glory greens. Our friend who lives in Chiang Mai brought us there as its a favorite for locals.

This place has been our go to for breakfast, it's open early and food is fantastic plus it's cheap. I got pad Thai for breakfast one time and it was really good, my girlfriend always got the banana pancake (which is typical for here) but I recommend the Thai omelette, it was great

The food at this restaurant is ok but the main reason for my bad review is the staff! The man/men sat less than 1metre away from us when the restaurant was empty on 2 occasions and kept looking over at us this made us feel very very uncomfortable and unable to relax, he was just staring at us eat without... It's a good place to stay if only planning to send a few nights in Chiang Mai. Very cheap which is nice for a back packer and bathrooms inside your room. Wifi is very speedy and staff always friendly. Shower is sometimes a little difficult to use, you have to fiddle with it to get the hot water. Centrally located... More
