As other reviewers have said, this is a delightful little oasis. Beautifully, and tastefully, set up with 5 wooden cottages and a great dining area and teak shop. Great breakfast - good service - and Aor is an excellent hostess; kind, helpful and informative. Tanita is very well placed for getting into the old city but feels suitable far enough... More

From the moment we arrived for our week long visit, we immediately shrugged off the work pressures that we had departed home with. Aor and the family who run Tanita House .. An amazing B&B ..are all like breaths of fresh air. Our gorgeous teak bungalow (one of five) is typically Thai ... Cool and welcoming .. Our bed is... More

Aon the lady who runs the guest house is lovely. All the staff are very helpful. Speaks very good English. A lovely courtyard, teak buildings, very pretty. Mist spray outside for cooling the buildings when hot. Excellent lunch cafe on site, the nephew runs it, aunt does the cooking. Recommended a very good three day trek, just walking into the... More

We stayed for a week at Tanita House during Loy Krathong. Tanita House lived up to my expectations. Aor was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well furnished. The breakfasts were plentiful and I wish I asked Aor for the recipe for her home made muesli - it really was delicious. I just loved the setting of... More

Stayed 4 nights over the New Year holiday. Very friendly, welcoming place. Other posters have described the setting, rooms very well. Breakfast has yoghurt, fruit, muesli, toast with eggs and bacon to order. Free coffee and tea all day in a 'help yourself' environment. No TV or other amenities. Wifi worked well. Tried the restaurant on site and recommend it... More

Tanita House is a haven of tranquility in bustling Chiang Mai. The teak buildings are beautiful to stay in, and everything is maintained well. Our family of four -we travelled with our teenage daughters-stayed in a converted rice barn with two large bedrooms with en-suite. We were in Chiang Mai over new year and Tanita House was an antidote to... More

A family run business of Traditional Teak wooden houses in a small green conservation area away from the hustle & bustle of the town. The accommodation & facilities were good. Lovely breakfasts, unlimited tea & coffee, good wi-fi and an excellent small coffee shop on site serving lovely food & cake. Aor and her staff were so helpful and friendly.... More

This small guesthouse is just a secret gem at Chiang Mai and I highly recommend it to couples that want to stay in a cosy, beautiful and charming place in Chiang Mai, away from the busy city centre, which is only a 10 min. walk away. The guest house is managed by Aor, a wonderful lady that will make your... More

Tanita offers everything a traveller could wish for....& more. It is very well run by Aor, her family & a dedicated team. Tanita only has 5/6 rooms.....Lanna style bungalows, which are furnished to a high standard. Breakfast is delicious & tea/coffee is available all day long. It's situated just across the Ping River, north-west of the city centre. Nearby are... More

We really loved our stay at Tanita House during our honeymoon! We used it as our base for exploring Chiang Mai and the surrounding area. We had a lovely breakfast every morning. The room was simply but comfortable (no bells and whistles, but completely functional). A/C worked well. Bed was maybe a little firm, but otherwise everything in the room... More
