We stayed here for 4 nights in February for our Honeymoon. We booked the hotels private transfer from the airport which was well worth it after a long flight from London, it only took around 10-15 minutes and the car is a classic old vehicle which was a real treat. We received a warm welcome from the staff and check... More

We wanted to go to Chiangmai for Chinese New Year, but left it late to book, therefore missing out on the better known Chain Hotels which we normally visit. We decided on Ping Nakara mainly due to Trip Adviser reviews, and the Hotel website. Due to flight delays, we were more than 1 hour late in arriving in Chiangmai, but... More

Ping Nakara is a beautiful hotel and is conveniently located close to many attractions. However, we were disappointed in the low level of service we received from the staff. For example, the check-in process was very slow, which was strange since the lobby was not busy. Additionally, we had to check out the night before since our flight was very... More

Traveling through the north of Thailand we had the opportunity to stay at the Ping Nakara Hotel in Chiang Mai. This hotel is truly amazing residing in a colonial style villa with only few rooms. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with an antique looking telephone and alarm clock. The only negative is that the toilet and shower are... More

We stayed for 4 nights in February 2015. The hotel is a haven of peace and calm but there are a few issues. Most of the staff are smiling and friendly especially those on duty at breakfast, the security personnel, cleaners etc but there was one (tall and slim) female at reception who never smiled, ignored us throughout our stay... A great deal of thought has gone into making this small hotel a delightful collection of pleasant features. The building is actually of a recent date, but built as a collection of traditional styles. Bas-reliefs near the pool tell a story of a past when elephants labored to bring teak out of the forests and down the river to market.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ping Nakara hotel last year on the Thai component of our honeymoon. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, with the good outweighing the bad. However, we expected fewer "bad" things given the reviews on Tripadvisor so it was slightly disappointing. First, the good: -the location is outstanding. So close to the Amsara night... More

Ping Nakara is a beautiful colonial style hotel in Chiang Mai. We wre collected from the hotel in an old Mercedes Benz which had been lovingly polished on a daily basis. The hotel lived up to all our expectations, from the beautiful furniture to the great friendly staff. Situated on the edge of the main town, just a 5 min... More

Stayed four nights and loved this little hotel. Staff are wonderful at all levels , spacious rooms and every little detail , from shoe polishing to laundry worked out as planned. The location is not ideal , although you can walk to the night bazaar and river cruise pontoon nearby , a tuk tuk ride Is needed for most other... More

This is only a small hotel of 19 rooms. The rooms are spacious as indeed is the bathroom. The hotel is well maintained with a beautiful swimming pool (but cold). It is close to the night Bazaar, 5 minute walk. The staff are pleasant and helpful. This is a relaxing hotel and far enough away from the noise of the... More
