We have very good memories during the New Year Thai at Little Bird! Ideal location - since you are in the center of Chiang Mai - and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Brilliant value for money.

We were travelling in Thailand and stayed here for two nights. We had a room that slept 2 people with bunkbeds in. The room itself was very basic, but that wasn't the problem. The room was filthy, the walls were stained and although the bedding seemed to be clean the mattress had a huge stain on it which appeared to... More

Was backpacking through Thailand and Laos with 2 friends from college when we stayed here. Location was great, rooms were decent, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. They helped us book tours during our stay in Chiang Mai without pressuring us to purchase. Would come back here again.

Stayed here while travelling SE Asia and it was really good value for money and a great hostel. I met some good friends there and had an amazing time. Rooms are clean and bright but basic though you don't need much more. Really recommend the juice stall which is a 1minute walk from Little Bird

I've stayed twice at this location over two years with other single females when we wanted a safe place that was clean but inexpensive. The location of A Little Bird is great...it is tucked away in a neighborhood, adjacent to a fruit/vegetable market and boasts a lady that makes some of the best (and inexpensive) fruit smoothies in town. Many... More

my first time to backpack alone and chiang mai was my first destination. the staff took care of my bus booking to vientiane. on my last day, minutes before i leave, backpackers and the staff were having a good time splashing, pouring water at everyone. and they didn't spare me. lol. staff were kind enough to lend me towel as... This is a recall of my stay at A Little Bird guesthouse during my June 2011 Thailand trip. The location is very central to main district & very close to major city sights. The old city Thapae gate, markets, bars & restaurants are all within walking distance. Guesthouse is tucked away nicely on a quiet side street, very easy for... More

When paying such a small amount to stay somewhere, I think it's unreasonable to put it down. So I'll just try to be honest... The hostel is charming and very 'backpackery'. The staff were lovely and the outside areas were nice to chill and meet others. It's relaxed and people mingle on the terrace area. It's in a good location... More

The guesthouse was okay, but loud and drunk people kept us awake almost all night. On top of that, there was a nasty stink in the bathroom, probably due to the canalization in the back of the house. Also, the staff was very rude and the reception was open only until 9 pm. So, don't let the nice pics fool... More

Little Bird has a great social atmosphere with platforms and cushions to lounge on as everyone else has stated before, makes a great place to meet new friends and bring old ones, all hours of the day. Location is ideal in the center of Chiang Mai, walking distance to everything you need to go to, bars, the walking street, markets,... More
