Location was GREAT, surrounded by easy access streets, great restaurants and easy walks to cultural sights. The Travel agency below the hotel was AWESOME - helped us plan 4 amazing days in Chiang Mai. Don't do breakfast at the hotel, its bad and local restaurants are cheaper/better.

There are many hotels in Chiang Mai so I would think paying anything more than USD 30 for this place would not be good value. The building and rooms are old. Really nothing much about this place except for the location. Located right at the Tha Pae gate and surrounded by food and night market (on selected days).

Situated right at the gates, location, location, location. Priced ok, but really shows it's age. Must have been a lovely hotel in it's time. But it's time has passed. Poor hot water supply, on & off, drainy smell in the bathroom, don't try to use the toilet if you have legs, a box is stuck to the wall right where... More

A three star boutique property perhaps need to be like Hotel M. It offers all the convenience and provides reasonably good comfort at a price which is value for money. The basic things expected from the property are really outstanding which means a nice comfortable bed, a good shower and clean washroom, and a good functional set breakfast. However the... More

We selected Hotel M for the location, it was good. Opposite Thae Pae gate and was brilliant since we were staying on Saturday and Sunday Night. Sunday NIght Bazaar starts from the side of the street all the way down to the street near the 3 kings' monument. The reception was friendly and could understand simple English. Map was readily... The hotel was clean, quiet and everything you expect of a central hotel. Ok breakfast, fantastic location, unfortunately no gym or pool but great nights sleep. Fantastic location for shops, restaurants (the one on the corner was our favourite).

I had stayed here previously on two different trips. This year, however, I found it was overpriced and very noisy. The location is excellent, but for the price it is not worth it. I would not really recommend it as there are much less expensive and nicer places to stay in the old city. The breakfast which had to be... More

Hotel room is clean and simple, and the price is very attractive, dont expect they have Spa, swimming pool - this is hotel "just sleep". The reason why i book Hotel M because of the price, and the location the "Tha Pate Gate", Starbucks & MC Donald just opposite to the hotel, 24hrs Burger King @ Grand Floor, dont worry... More
