Close to sights in the old city, restaurants, and bars. Friendly staff and nice rooms. The rooms also have a fridge that is not common for Northern Thai accommodation. The price was reasonable at B650 per night. Very secure with a gate that is locked at night and a security guard watching the gate. You are also given a security... More

Nothing special but in enjoyed my stay,, clean rooms but the price was amazing for what you get. central location on a small road directly across gate. Ladies at the front desk were very nice, but besides one of them they did not speak the best english. overall a good experience

We seem to be making an annual pilgrimage to Chiang Mai for Songkran. This is our third year and our third year at Boonthavon. We stay here because it is comfortable, clean and friendly. It also has the the advantage of a good sized car park, and being in strolling distance of eateries, bars, corner stores, and massage and laundry... More

This place is clean, convenient and friendly. It's close to everything, very quiet and good value. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the room safe was a bonus. Motorbikes can be rented here without the usual large deposit or passport required at outside rental places. Take my advice, book it.

I am currently staying here for a month at a cost of 8,500 bhat + electricity and wifi. The room is a bit 70's looking but it is clean apart from a few ants in the bathroom and if you're staying for a month it gets cleaned once a week. The bed and pillows are comfy (not too hard as... More

Nice quiet hotel on quiet street but easy access to everything. Such a great area to wander and go to market or cafés. Massage and laundry right next door. Room solid. Bathroom fine. Little balcony. We came for few days and stayed a week. Just kept extending stay each day with not issues.

Loved the location of the guest house; away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet walking distance to everything. However, you may want to bring your own towel. People working there were really helpful with your problems/queries.

The Boonthavon is well located just off the main road, but is also far enough away to be out of the noise. I read a number of reviews but as always dismiss what every is not important to me, such as poor Wifi and poor English. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful, yes their English is... The main problem was there was a very poor internet signal. It was very weak and sometimes did not work. Other than that the place was very clean, quiet, and the rooms were nice with good TV. Well located in walking distance to many restaurants and only five minutes from the Sunday night walking Street. But if you depend on... More
