Ckose this boutique hotel on the strength of the TA reviews A very good choice. Looks just like the photos, friendly staff, great breakfasts. The street outside aint the best but once you're in the fron door it doesnt matter. Try to get an upgrade to room 8 -its huge and very stylish.

After 2 days in Melaka we flew to Chaing Mail not really knowing what to expect. The hotel was a 5minute drive from the airport and cost 160 bht to get there. On arrival we were warmly welcomed with a drink and informed that we had been upgraded to a deluxe room right on the pool.It is a very small hotel with... We were a family of 4 with older children aged 14 and 19 and stayed in the suite (which was a free upgrade – thank you very much!) and an adjoining room on the top floor for 4 nights in June. What an utterly delightful experience this little hotel was, a perfect oasis in the old section of Chiang Mai.... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days while in Chiang Mai (September 2014), couldn't have asked for a better place. Baan Klang Wiang is located on a small road in the "Old City" about 1 block off the main road. There is a small temple directly across the street and you will be 2 blocks from teh Saturday... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in Aug 2014 and were blown away and entranced when we arrived at this beautiful oasis in the walls of the old city. The uniqueness and beauty of this place is something we fondly remember. The staff were so helpful and kind. Nothing was too much to ask of them. The room was divine... More

This hotel is a gem. We had a hard time finding a hotel in Chiang Mai because a lot of sites seemed a little bit unprofessional/poor photography. However, when we came across this one and its reviews we booked and it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful - everything is well thought out. The decor is beautiful and clean.... More

Prettiest little hotel ever - we had rooms 1 and 2 so could sit out in the courtyard with wifi and a coffee, in full view of the room where the children were asleep. The best of Thai hospitality - they did some laundry for us, arranged for a Songteaw (transport) for the day and surprised us with a birthday... More

We enjoyed 3 nights at Baan Klang which is very conveniently located in Chiang Mai. The first night heard the neighbors barking dog, I kindly mentioned this to our gracious hostess when she asked how we slept, we did not hear the dog again. Rooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. The highlight of my stay was greetings from... More

Wonderful staff, great food, sweet comfortable (air conditioned) rooms that make you feel honored. I highly recommend this hotel as a base for exploring the old city. After hours of walking we came back and took a refreshing dip in the pool before napping in our cool room on soft white sheets. Did I mention the staff was wonderful?

We spent a week in Chiang Mai at the Baan Klang Wiang and didn't want to leave. I can't write enough good things about this lovely place. Our room (Junior Suite #10) was spacious clean and comfortably furnished. We chose the suite because we wanted a cool sitting area to relax in after our busy sightseeing (and we certainly did...
