We spent 5 nights at Baan Klang Wiang this month, and it was our favorite hotel during our trip to Thailand! It feels very private and calm because of the small number of rooms, and it was definitely the perfect retreat after long days of exploring Chiang Mai. We were upgraded to the suite upon our arrival, and the room... More

This is a small hotel as far as the number of rooms but manages to feel like one of those grand old hotels because of the central courtyard and quality of the furnishings. My wife loved everything about the room decoration and furnishings, the fourposter canopy bed had the highest canopy I have ever seen. It is within walking distance... More

We toured Japan, Thailand and Cambodia on this trip and this was by far our favorite hotel. The place is small and beautifully decorated, so it felt like coming home every night. The location was perfect for walking just about anywhere. In the morning they set individual tables up around the pool and serve an awesome breakfast either Western or... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in total and enjoyed our stay. Pros: - Good location in a quiet street of the old city, - Clean, large, nicely furnished rooms, - beautiful building, decorations and landscaping, - Massive freshly prepared (nice) breakfast which also doubled as our lunch, - small selection of books and magazines available to read, - Staff... We (a couple in our mid 20s) stayed here for 3 nights in June 2014. A gem of a hotel, hidden away down one of the back alleys of the old city but still very close to the action (5-10 minute walk from the centre). Excellent customer service who greeted us with cool drinks and fresh fruit on our arrival.... More

A beautiful smaller hotel in a great position if you want to stay within the walled city. Lovely size rooms, clean, quiet which is a little surprising as it is next door to a "recycling" depot. Situated in the back streets but very close to a local food market with good cheap and safe to eat food. We ate there... More

Away from the night market area but just a short walk or taxi ride. This hotel is so worth all the positive praise it receives. We stayed april 2014 for 4 nights. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was gorgeous. I notice some travellers think it odd ordering breakfast the previous night, well I know I would rather have... More

Downsides include mosquitoes in the room, less than friendly welcome. However the wonderful service of the staff and the beautiful ambiance made up for these faults. It is a central location without the noise. Every day the breakfast is amazing and the are very accommodating. They even helped us order pizza on a night we were too tired (and it... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during Songkran. We found the hotel to be wonderful. It was clean, extremely attentive and helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast. The hotel is well located within the Old Town and is an easy walk to most places. We made our reservation online and had no trouble with communication via email for questions... More
