Julies guesthouse was recommended to me by a friend and when I arrived I was not disappointed. The staff are extremely helpful, the rooms are cheap and have exactly what you need. The food is great and reasonably priced. The staff learn your name very quickly and every interaction is pleasant and hassle free. There is an amazing chill out... More

Julies has few positives: a pretty good common area at the front with a good selection of pretty cheap drinks, a pool table and food service. However, you could come into this area without staying in the hostel so not sure it really counts. It is also well located and cheap (but then so is every other hostel in the... More

Very basic room but for 300baht a night you can't complain. Social Area is great, free wifi and a restaurant. The reception staff very rude, we booked for 5 nights via email and they asked us to leave after 4 nights because they were full. We moved to anima next door whih was MUCH nicer but less social

Larger than you realize when you first come in. Overall a good experience, with a great location and good value. Beds are rather hard and rooms are basic but for the price it is good value. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend as a good base and pkace to meet other travelers.

I found julies in the lonely planet and some travellers i've met in bangkok also advised me to go to this place. It's in a good location, is cheap and has the best communial areas where you can meet other travellers. I actually met some people here which i travelled with for ten days. The staff speaks very good english... More

We stayed after 2009 for the second time at Julies. We had a room for 300 Thb per night which was really nice and clean. Before we arrived I tried two days to get a reservation- but no chance, they answered my first Email but I didn't get a booking confirmation. (I mean the staff use the Internet 10 hours... More

The atmosphere here is nice, the hostel colourful. The beds are okay - a bit hard maybe. But what really put me off was the condescending staff at the front desk/reception, who would refuse to be friendly and helpful. I asked for a dorm bed at two different times about two weeks apart - both times I got the same... More

This guesthouse is extremely cheap and offers a friendly atmosphere. The staff are very trusting and you pay for everything upon departure (including food and drink). The rooms are very basic but that coincides with the price. There is a large social area where it is easy to meet fellow travellers. The guesthouse seems to earn the majority of their... More

Stayed a couple of days at Julies Guesthouse. It was cheap and that is the only good thing about it. Filthy rooms and bathrooms, uncomfortable beds. Sucky WiFi, noisy and the staff tried sevarale times to scam us to pay WAY more than we were supposed to at checkout. I would never come back and do not recommend it!

I met a backpacker on the way to Chiang Mai that suggested JGH to me so I decided to check it out. I was lucky enough to secure a bed (there were about 20 people waiting). The food is SO SO cheap here (even the Western food) and the rooms are adequate. Showers/bathrooms are adequate as well. The best thing... More
