Lanna House is an awesome budget hotel in Chiang Mai. It is located very close to the night bazaar and hence has plenty of activity around. There are plenty of good food options around. The hotel staff were very helpful and helped us in planning our day trips. The rates they provided us on the day trips were unmatched else... More

Stay here in Dec 2014, and booked 3 rooms with them. To me the rooms are OK for the price. The main reason for deciding on this hotel was the location which was great. No regards about that. However, I was rather disappointed with the reception. No amount of smiling could break the cold treatment provided. I was lucky I... More

Rooms were average yet expensive for what they were. Stayed one night and found somewhere much better and cheaper the next day. Reception smelt horrible and when we checked out the receptionist accused us of drinking a beer from the mini bar when a) there was not beer there to begin with and b) we didn't touch anything in the... I'm writing this review as a small cockroach crawls across my bed! Don't get me wrong, I know I'm in Thailand and I know these things happen, BUT my room is filthy! The floor wasn't even swept before I occupied it and hasn't been cleaned/mopped/washed in at least a few years. (I'm not exaggerating) The furniture is outdated and when... More

As the same as other review, the location is superb. The hotel is just a minute away from the Sunday walking street and also near the Night Bazaar. The bed is big but not really comfy, cable TV is okay, the shower room is spacious but not separate the wet and dry. The room was too dark for me and... More

Spent 2 nights there during a stop over in Chiang Mai. Location is simply perfect. Room given was big, clean and with all the basics. A lot of overseas TV channels. Bed is comfy. Receptionist, Khun Bee was great, organized a day trip for me in and around Chiang Mai. Definitely recommend this hotel without hesitation. Really appreciated that I... More

This hotel is in a great location, the street is across from the Tha Phae Gate and walking street market. I arrived on Sunday, got a taxi at the CNX taxi stand (120 baht) and was able to walk straight to the Sunday night market after I checked in. - decent value for the money, $20 private room, queen bed... rooms are big, service was ok, value for money, room was clean. the location is very near to Thae Pae gate, don't miss out the weekend art market where you can walk for hours and don't find a store that is selling similar products. This shows Chiang Mai being the Art Center of Thailand at its best. Overall value for... More

I stayed in Lanna House for 6 nights. Positives: 1) Friendly manager at the front desk- offered discounted rate for a 6 night stay (590 baht/night) 2) Great location on Thapae Rd. near Thapae Gate. Even though it is on a main road, the room was quiet (room 6, second floor) 3) Near bike rental shop and laundry services available... More
