We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful guesthouse. The location is perfect to see Chiang Mai, our room was really clean, the bedroom super comfortable, the wifi signal very strong, and our host was really helpful with us! She helped to organize our tours around Chiang Mai, and provided us with everything we needed. If I would come back in... More

Had a double room with en suite - lovely boutique hostel, felt homely and very clean. Excellent location and in walking distance to places to eat/bars/markets/temples. Staff spoke some basic English, which was enough to communicate well. They were very helpful and when we asked them, they booked most of our trips/excursions for us and let us know when this... I mainly booked this place due to its good location and reviews. However, even though I booked in advance and several rooms were available, we probably got the worst room of the hostel. With twin beds barely fitting into the room, we were left with roughly 2 sqm of space for our luggage. Usually this wouldn't bother me too much,... More

We stayed up in Chiang Mai at this hostel for one night and after staying here, I wish we had stayed longer. This hostel is run by a couple and they are extremely nice and very helpful. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean. We had a private room with a bathroom ensuite. The owners helped us set up a... More

We had a room over looking one of the many temples in Chiang Mai where we would observe the monks daily. The rooms were clean and large and were finished with some beautiful art work which gave it a real Thai feeling. The hostel is situated in an excellent location in the town with bars, massage parlours, markets and laundrette's only... More

We booked the private room with shared bathroom for 3 nights. It was a very poor room for the money and not what the pictures had epresented on the internet which we discovered were actually the ensuite rooms. We were put into a different building that was just new and nowhere near finished as construction work was still going on.... More

Well-located place by the Thaepae Gate in the Old City (close to lively nightlife and great restaurants). This place made such a lasting impression on us because the room was seriously hotel-grade for a hostel-price. Our room was huge, with a whole wall of windows which made it bright and sunny. The air conditioning worked well, and the sheets and... More

I stayed in this hostel/hotel in April. I say hostel/hotel, as despite it being advertised as a hostel, it feels like a hotel. The staff were very understanding in our inevitable soaked by Songkran arrival state and pleasant all round throughout the stay. The hotel is located near the Thapae Gate, which therefore means it's a central location. Short walk... More

We stayed for 1 night here before heading off to Pai and it was a perfect stop off! It's family run and their attention to detail coupled with the incredibly friendly service made this a relaxing stop off after the overnight train from Bangkok. Great location, very safe and close to everything. We did a cookery class and it was... More

Baan Klang Vieng was amazing! It felt like more of a guesthouse than a hostel! The rooms were comfortable and clean. It's hard to beat BKVs location, it's in old town Chiang Mai, walking distance to tons of restaurants, cafes, temples, and the night bazaar! The lady that runs it was incredibly helpful and attentive. Definitely worth a stay!!
