We stayed here on recommendation of the cooking class. Rooms are great price, large room with double and single bed and decent private bathroom and little private patio to hang clothes etc. I normally don't mention a hard bed, but this one was particularly hard! Still- staff, location, WiFi, book swap, restaurant (although closes early) and wonderful cooking course (Chilli... More

We loved Jungala house! Great value for money, super helpful staff (especially the new owner Doh), good central location & relaxed friendly atmosphere. The whole backpacking package! Maaike & Ross (Scotland)

We are staying here now and it has a new name and there are new owners and they are working really hard to spruce up the place. Definitely give it a try! It's in a great location, the price is very reasonable (380 Baht for a triple room with fan) and the owners and staff are exceptional. The rooms are... More

Stayed during Songkran Festival and found it was just what was needed. Inexpensive, good AC, helpful staff with lots of information, hot showers and in a good location. Booked a 2 day 1 night trek which was cut short due to the heat and we got a refund for half a day which was very fair. Yes it's basic in... More

I stayed at this guesthouse for 4 nights in total, only intending on staying for one. The staff were very friendly, on the 2nd day I got tempted into doing the cooking school that is at this guesthouse, The teacher was extremley friendly and passionate about what he did, i didn't try any others in Chiang Mai but I'm very... Good location. Staff is very helpful. Price is good. The Rooms are very basic, they didn't put any Effort to cheer them up. Check out already at 10. Common area has no atmosphere but there are many bars and Restaurants in the area. Did the cooking class and Thought it was excellent and their Trekking is ecological and has a... More

I thought the price was good for an air conditioned room. Good location too. You can basically walk to anywhere in old town. There wasn't a great party atmosphere here so if that's what your into you may sol. Reception seemed pleasant to me and they had cooking classes a couple times a week. For 10$ US it wasn't bad.

I had a nice stay at this place. There was no A/C but I can't complain about it, it was only 300 Baht/night. Good located!!! We stayed there during the Songkran festival, so at night, it was very noisy. Anyway, it's a good and decent place to stay if you don't want to spent lots of money.

This review is about the Eagle House 2 at 26 Rathwiti Rd, Soi 2 in the Old City, not the one on the Trip Advisor map, far outside the city walls, which is apparently an imitator. Eagle House 2 is the home of well-regarded treks, but we did not take them. We were in town for the Loi Krathong festival... More

On Arrival the guesthouse was empty and had zero atmosphere. We were shown to our room by a less than excited receptionist! This place was recommended in our Rough guide! Our room was nice, big bed and the shower was adequate. However our room did back into someones house and their children were very noisy. The guesthouse did not sell... More
