This is a great choice to stay if you are new to Chiang Mai. The location is excellent. It is halfway between the Northwest corner of the Old City and MAYA, (the upscale shopping mall on Huaykaew Rd). It is about a 10 minute walk to either one. Huaykaew Rd is a major street where public transportation, (tuk tuk or... More

We arrived on a horrible note; my friend lost her passport. The front desk was very helpful with calling for translation to hunt the passport down. The cat in the lobby made the hotel feel at home. Transportation was so easy, there was a 7/11 basically across the street, a decent mall with a great food court was within walking... More

Stayed at the Dome for 10 weeks at start of 2014. The location was OK after crossing the big road into Nimman. However, the room was very basic. It was ok on a budget but there are better options available nearby. The staff were all very friendly and the balcony had a perfect view of the mountain.

the hotel is comfortable, located within walking distance to the lotus mall(central) . the rooms also are big and clean. but the hotel's service ,whether its the front desk or even the restaurant is poor. they donot even allow guests to extend their check out (by paying extra), which is odd because most hotels allow that and their breakfast menu is... Great, next time I'm in Chiang Mai I will definitely stay here. Great staff and felt really relaxed. If you want something more traditional and authentic this is the place. Beautiful and large patio outside the room. Fantastic hotel , Really chilled, Upmarket Location , Very Nice.

The hotel and rooms itself are not bad. However, we arrived at 5 am and wanted to book a room. The man at the reception was too busy playing computer games to notice us. When we asked him if he could help us, he told us to wait and continued playing. After I explicitly told him I thought this behaviour... More

While there are some things I do like about the Dome, I want to focus on one thing I am very dissatisfied with: the Internet Bandwidth issue. I am in Chiang Mai for a year, and we are staying at the Dome for 3 months while we get used to the city. My husband and I didn't mind the Dome... More

I really wanted to like the Dome, but it didn't work out for me. The Dome was actually recommended to me by part-time Chiang Mai residents who come every year to enjoy all that the city has to offer. Unfortunately, it just wasn't our style. The bathrooms are pretty poorly maintained and little details were not taken care of in... More

I like this place. It's close to Nimmanahaeminda Rd about 2 blocks to the west, and Chiang Mai city centre 2 blocks east. A 20 baht taxi get you anywhere in town you want to go to. The big Maya shopping centre has a great grocery store, named Rimping, that opens at 6am and closes at 11pm, and they have... More
