I stayed at Smile House Boutique as part of a tour with Tucan travel, so cannot comment about value for money (however now knowing the prices they charge I would say good value for money). Rooms are spacious and bathroom is well set out. The Boutique itself is very quaint; giving a feeling of being somewhat secluded in such a... More

This was my first solo trip abroad and I mainly booked this hotel as it was good for my budget. I expected a simple guesthouse and that is what I got. The atmosphere is calm and serene and I really loved the wooden deck where I could sit alone, surf the net, read and grab a bite. The rooms are... More

Service was fine. They allowed us to check in early, which was nice. Rooms were clean but the bed was OLD and SUNKEN and the walls were so thin I could hear a child screaming outside for about an hour. The guest next to me could hear everything I did and said and I could hear that she was getting... More

The location is great! Just outside of Chiang Mai Gate! You can walk to many restaurants and markets. The night bazar is a 30 minutes walk or a 10 min. tuktuk-drive. The rooms are clean BUT the wall are only thin wooden walls! (See photo) You can hear EVERYTHING. Snoring, chatting and TV from the other guests through the whole... More

perfect place for those wanting central location,a/c, clean place. there is a food market right across the main road at night and many temples around. friendly staff. My favorite part of my trip was hiring an inexpensive driver to view some of the further places. I hired a man named jeff and he was much more helpful than I expected.... More

I have stayed one week in smile house boutique and loved the place: close from Chang Mai center but in a very quiet street. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The first days I was in a room situated behind the building, and it was a little loud in the night because of a electricity generator, so I asked... More

No Pool, thats a lie. To be honest the place aint that bad with a fairly good price and a really good location. Its a little noisy, rooms clean and airco is fine. All over a good stay for a okay price ( we visited in low season so prices might change)

I call it a little tropical compound in Chaing Mai. A few blocks from the south gate of old city. Great location to be away from traffic and noise. The room was comfortable and spacious. Bed was alright. Felt very at ease staying here. Didn't get much help or consideration from the staff. But that didn't bother me actually being... More

Stayed for 1 night before flying to the South. Very basic, not really appealing, no atmosphere, friendly staff. We needed a cheap bed and got it :-)...but that was about all. Some food and drinks available in the evening would be nice, girl at desk offered her own soda, really friendly..

I think you get what is paid for to be stay here. It's quiet, clean and we could stay here no problem. A lot of mosquito at nightwhen there. The place is down a back street so it's peaceful. Friendly staff, we didn't try breakfast.
