Selected this hotel for the price and location, just outside the walls of Chiang Mai (so peaceful). Rooms are set around the small pool (cold as never sees much sunlight). Hotel provides breakfast but we did not have it included within our room price. There is also a cold drinks fridge with an honesty box. The rooms are ok, with... More

We stayed at the castle for 1 week during our 4 month tour of South East asia. We came across the hotel on booking.com, it was cheap and close to the old city like we wanted. On day of arrival we were greeted by the hotel owner who showed us around the hotel and took us to our room. The... More

This place is down a tiny little lane off the southeast corner of Chiang Mai and requires a walk to get to the old-town, night market, and Tha Phae Gate areas, but for the most part, all of Chiang Mai felt safe, even well after dark, for an older, solo female traveler. They have an honor-system beverage cooler on the... More

Nice little boutique hotel in a great location set back just off the main moat surrounding the old town. 10 minute walk to the night bazaar, 10 minute walk to Wat Chedi Luang in the center of town. Would stay here again!

Stayed here on a friend's advice. Rather Spartan for my taste. Tiny room with little useful storage. No hot water in the sink. Wi-fi wouldn't work except in the lobby. Kinda trashy neighborhood. But bed was good as was breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Wanted a superior room but none available. That might have made a big difference.

We stayed here for a week with 2 connecting rooms and it was great. The staff were kind and very helpful, we asked what activities we could do in our time limit and they sorted it out without any hassle. The hotel is very close to the town centre so you can just walk over (or take a tuk-tuk). The... More

This is our second stay at The Castle as a family. We loved it so much the first time, we had to return. The new owner Usanee is working hard to keep up the excellent standards that were set by the old owner. The staff at The Castle are really helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts... More

The internet is at the top of my list of must-haves (i need it for work), and when a hotel advertises they have it, then they should bloody well have it. I don't care where the hotel is, you've either got it or not - don't lie to me about it! OK good. Next, 1200baht per night is quite pricey... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Easy to get around on foot. Breakfast is there really good with good coffee. Nice, clean and quiet place to chill out with very friendly staff. We would definitely go back!

Stayed here 5 nights...cozy and quiet area, comfortable and cleaned bedroom, friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast (love coffee so much!). The location is good, 10 mins walk from the Castle to old city area. To night market around 20 minutes. If you wanna take taxi, you may print the thai address from website, very useful.
