We stayed for nights in Chiang Mai at the Castle and were very happy with our choice. The city centre is within walking distance, which makes the hotel a great place without any traffic noise whatsoever. The rooms are big enough and everything is quite clean. It was the best value for money we got on our Thailand trip. Moreover, the... More

Very cute hotel, walking distance from one of the old city gates. The only problem is that it's a bit far from all the "action". We had to get a tuk tuk to reach all the food stalls/night market/main "action". Though on Saturday a very nice walking street is right around the corner from the hotel. This Saturday walking street... More

Good location, making easy access to everything. The room is fine, but the pillows suck, which for me is a big minus. The pool is much smaller than in the pictures. But, the staff is super and you feel like you're the only guests there, which feels like you're at home. It's a good budget option in Chiang Mai.

I stayed at The Castle in late May 2015 and had a wonderful stay while there. It is so beautiful and the staff was so helpful in helping me make plans in Chiang Mainand the surrounding area. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I visit Chiang Mai.

Although it is close to the center but if you walk from the main road to the hotel, I could tell you that it is not easy and uncomfortable. I accidentally stayed here but it was the second time. This was OK with the price the offered and the accommodation. No parking for, then you had to park around the... More

The good points of this hotel are: 1/ the staff are wonderful people 2/ the location was better then I first expected and after a few days I realized how good this area is. Now for the bad reviews: 1/ The rooms are very small and have doors allowing entrance into the adjoining rooms the doors are not only hollow... More

Selected this hotel for the price and location, just outside the walls of Chiang Mai (so peaceful). Rooms are set around the small pool (cold as never sees much sunlight). Hotel provides breakfast but we did not have it included within our room price. There is also a cold drinks fridge with an honesty box. The rooms are ok, with... More

We stayed at the castle for 1 week during our 4 month tour of South East asia. We came across the hotel on booking.com, it was cheap and close to the old city like we wanted. On day of arrival we were greeted by the hotel owner who showed us around the hotel and took us to our room. The... More

This place is down a tiny little lane off the southeast corner of Chiang Mai and requires a walk to get to the old-town, night market, and Tha Phae Gate areas, but for the most part, all of Chiang Mai felt safe, even well after dark, for an older, solo female traveler. They have an honor-system beverage cooler on the... More

Nice little boutique hotel in a great location set back just off the main moat surrounding the old town. 10 minute walk to the night bazaar, 10 minute walk to Wat Chedi Luang in the center of town. Would stay here again!
