The Castle is just a five minute walk from Chiang Mai town, situated in an area surrounded by building plots of new hotels yet to be built. This is proof of how great the location is, however the construction noise from these sites may stop light sleepers from having a lie-in. The hotel itself is fantastic, kitted out with a... More

great location - quiet but close enough to the old city gates. Beautiful inner courtyard with a pool. Would definitely stay there again! Room are newly redecorated and stunning. The front desk was very helpful with information about tours, etc.

It is a lovely place to stay in Chiang Mai. Very close to the old center, on a quiet little street. The rooms are basic, but nothing that you might actually need is missing. The breakfast is freshly made and very good. The owner and the people at the reception are nice and friendly and very helpful (no matter the... More

Great boutique hotel with lots of character. About a 10 minute walk to night markets and 15-20 to temples in the city. Rooms well maintained, friendly service, quiet atmosphere. I would recommend getting breakfast at least once as it is delicious and well-presented. If you get bored, they have DVD's at reception and a small swimming pool.

Tucked away down some quiet roads, felt safe enough though and there weren't many dogs. Location fine, recommend cafe 29 for cheap good breakfast, also. Also cafe thaan aoan did great food and the best chocolate banana smoothie! Rooms ok but they didn't always clean toilet room and never changed sheets in a full weeks stay. Breakfast good but pricey.

This hotel, tucked away on a quiet street, some distance from the attractions of the old city was perfect for us. Still within walking distance. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable of our tours and seemed to be able to sense and accommodate our every need. The facility was managed very well in that the establishment was up kept, clean, and... More

Stayed here for a week and had a very enjoyable stay. Staff are very friendly, the poolside are is nice and relaxing and there is a small pool as well to use .. although it was a bit on the cool side for us to try out :-) Rooms are a decent size, and have AC included which is very... More

Location is great, short walk from the markets. Air conditioned room, clean rooms, wi-fi, friendly staff. Small pool. Unique style building. Only complaint is a dog that wouldn't shut up the first night, but that's not the hotels fault. And at such low rate, I can deal with that.

The place is extremely clean and the decor is comforting- dark wooden furniture, concrete floors, stain glass windows and a large, comfy bed. The washroom and toilet are in the separate rooms (something that is hard to come by in Thailand) and they provide you with two large towels and a small hand towel. There is also a large TV... More

Despite having received email confirmation via Booking.com and having contacted the hotel directly to confirm our reservation we were informed upon our arrival that the hotel had been overbooked and therefore couldn't accommodate us. In fairness the staff were very apologetic and had made alternative arrangements for us. However it was a disappointing start to our holiday.
