Our family of 4 stayed at The Castle Chiang Mai for 5 nights beginning of August. We booked 2 rooms through booking.com and paid a very good price. We requested connecting rooms or at least next to each other which was not a problem. Connecting family room was only available on the second day when staff promptly and efficiently transfered... We were 2 families with small children who traveled together. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in July. The place was very welcoming, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel workers was very courteous and helpful. The hotel itself has a lovely swimming pool. The disadvantage was mostly the distance from the hotel to the "civilization" and the... More

Our first room had a window facing the hallway with the view of the brick wall. The couple who stayed next to us were very loud at night, so we asked to switch rooms the next day. The second room was a lot better, because it was brighter, bigger and quieter. The location was a bit of a pain. Though... More

From start to finish (myself and my girlfriend stayed 3 nights) we were treated with absolute royalty. We asked for an upstairs non-smoking room and that's what we got. The AC worked 100%, the water in the shower was hot, there was a safe in the room. The breakfast was amazing (we got waffles) and they were very tasty. The... More

The Castle is just a five minute walk from Chiang Mai town, situated in an area surrounded by building plots of new hotels yet to be built. This is proof of how great the location is, however the construction noise from these sites may stop light sleepers from having a lie-in. The hotel itself is fantastic, kitted out with a... More

It is a lovely place to stay in Chiang Mai. Very close to the old center, on a quiet little street. The rooms are basic, but nothing that you might actually need is missing. The breakfast is freshly made and very good. The owner and the people at the reception are nice and friendly and very helpful (no matter the... More

Great boutique hotel with lots of character. About a 10 minute walk to night markets and 15-20 to temples in the city. Rooms well maintained, friendly service, quiet atmosphere. I would recommend getting breakfast at least once as it is delicious and well-presented. If you get bored, they have DVD's at reception and a small swimming pool.

Tucked away down some quiet roads, felt safe enough though and there weren't many dogs. Location fine, recommend cafe 29 for cheap good breakfast, also. Also cafe thaan aoan did great food and the best chocolate banana smoothie! Rooms ok but they didn't always clean toilet room and never changed sheets in a full weeks stay. Breakfast good but pricey.

This hotel, tucked away on a quiet street, some distance from the attractions of the old city was perfect for us. Still within walking distance. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable of our tours and seemed to be able to sense and accommodate our every need. The facility was managed very well in that the establishment was up kept, clean, and... More
