Our experience at Pak Chiang Mai exceeded expectations due to its hospitality, charm and homey atmosphere. This quaint and tastefully designed guesthouse is located on a quiet street near the Chiang Mai Gate. Steps away, you will find a farmers market (AM), night market (PM), Baan Phor Liang Muen (terra cotta arts garden/cafe), restaurants and numerous shops. The location is... More

We absolutely loved this small hotel. We stayed in a standard room on the first floor and had no issue with noise. The breakfasts were great, and the staff was excellent in helping us with recommendations and activities. Definitely book a massage with them too! We did it twice- best massages on our SE Asia trip! Hope to return someday!

Our room was clean and comfortable and our hosts went out of their way to help us and ensure that we had a relaxing stay. We enjoyed an amazing traditional Thai massage from the masseuse who came out to the hotel and set up in the beautiful garden / courtyard. Breakfast was delicious, especially the traditional Thai sweets that were... More

Pak Chiang Mai, simply put, is a lovely place to stay. This was by far our favourite guesthouse that we stayed at during our trip to Thailand. The guesthouse itself is beautiful - all teak floors and walls, a lush outdoor garden, and plenty of lounging space (hammocks, thai cushions, chairs, etc). We stayed in one of the service apartments,... More

This was our second stay at Pak, after an absence of 5 years. Our circumstances had changed (from students to working couple, with extended family in tow), as had our expectations. We are used to nicer hotels, but had had such an excellent experience at Pak in 2009 that we wanted to return. We felt in some ways Pak had... More

We were a bit disappointed by the standard of the room but the staff did literally everything they could to help. In the end, this included an upgrade at no extra cost which they didn't have to do. They took all our points seriously and sorted out each one. Excellent customer service. Good breakfast choices. Free wifi in the room.... More

A great place to stay, family run hotel. All friendly and helpful. Standard room comfortable and clean. Breakfast has a good choice of western and local food. Wanted a cushion made from some local fabric, mother of the family knocked on up for us, Very hand postilion in the old town.

Pros: Excellent location, Free Bikes, Delicious Breakfast Cons: Internet in suite sometimes slow (though nice to have a desktop), Firm Bed and Couch I cannot say enough about how well cared for we were during our stay over Loy Krathong. First, the location is excellent - still within the old town walls but set away from the main tourist streets.... More

Stayed at this guest house at the beginning and at the end of our stay in Thailand. The staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough for us. We slept well and the beds were comfortable. We had no problems with noise but we were at the back. THe curtains were quite thin and this contributed to some early... More
