You can definitely stay in cheaper places while in Chiang Mai, but Vanilla Place offers a great set of accommodations for a very reasonable price. If there are some things you're not willing to give up (e.g. access to a private bathroom) this might be the place for you. The location is very convenient for the night bazaar, as others... More

Thank you Bee, we just loved staying here. Breakfast, service, price, kindness. We tried everything Bee suggested and it was amazing. She helped us find a cooking course, elephant experience, places to eat. Really a highlight of our time in CM.

I have been to Vanilla Place in Jan 2016 for 4 days. It's only 5 mins to Night Bazaar area by walking. The room was clean and spacious enough. Since it's located on the main street it was a bit noisy at evenings. Staff was amazing. They were polite and helpful.

A great little place, almost on top of the Night Markets. The staff are really helpful, if you need information about anything they, will endeavour to sort it out for you. Oh and the breakfast is good too. Already booked to come back.

Loved the service from Bee who was really friendly and had loads of great tips and food recommendations (for restaurants, street food and massage spots). Hotel was in a great location, an easy walk to loads of activities and options. Wifi was good most of the time - However, at one point, I had to leave my room (on the... More

This was definitely our favorite place in Thailand. The owners go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure you have a good stay. They will give you advice, make bookings, and always greet you warmly. It was a treat for us. Also, they take a lot of pride in the atmosphere of the hotel; it’s clean and tastefully decorated. Even the... More

I travelled to Thailand alone in June, before meeting my brother. I spent one night here and returned after spending a week at an elephant sanctuary. What can I say, Bee was amazing! I was very nervous when I arrived alone, but Bee made me feel comfortable and safe. She has the best English out of all the Thai people... More

The staffmembers are friendly and accommodating. They also speak and understand English. The place is clean and very close to 2 night bazaars and the Warorot market. I just wonder what makes it a "boutique guesthouse".

We stayed for one night at Vanilla place and were very happy with our choice. We had a standard room, which was fairly basic (no fridge, kettle) but was comfortable and more than suitable for a short stay. The location is very good, being about 10 minutes walk from the Night Bazaar. The best thing about the stay was definitely... More

I have stayed here for a week and had the best experience. The staff were very freindly and know you by name and helped you organize your trip better. The guest house is close to everything, which is only a few blocks away. Had the best trip because they wanted my trip to be great!!
