Vanilla Chiang Mai Jan 2015 I stayed with my friend for 5 nights in this place. I booked 2 rooms with Agoda. The price was 1000.- Baht / 1 room / night. The location is excellent. Next to the Night Bazar. We had to park our car in a side soi about 300m towards the Night Bazar. The place has... More

Great value. Great location, close to the night market. Owned by a wonderful and very helpful family. They helped us plan our tours and even got us discounts. Rooms were very basic, but adequate. Happy the puppy is adorable. A good example of great Thai hospitality!

I've stayed here on two separate occasions. It is VERY convenient to the Kalare Night Bazaar (right behind it) and, therefore, close to Chang Klang Road and all the restaurants, shops and banks there, as well as the great 3rd art museum. It is less than 1/2 km from the bridge which will take you over the river and the... More

I had read all the reviews and was really looking forward to our stay at the vanilla guest house.....and yes, it has a very handy location, yes the owners are super helpful.....but overall I think it only deserves an average rating.....the room whilst clean, is very dated.....the wifi was in and out and basically not happening in the room at... Coming from Bangkok, it felt nice to stay at the Vanilla Place... merely because Kem & Kat were ever so helpful and welcoming! That always feels nice after coming from scamcity! Kem & Kat truly go out of their way to give you useful information, tips and suggestions. Even discounts on cooking classes and scooter rentals. They made this guest... More

We stayed at this guest house at the end of November, and had a wonderful time! The guesthouse is very clean, quiet, and all the staff was super nice, always greeting us with a smile. The lovely owners are very informative and helpful, and helped us with visa issues we had. The location of the guesthouse is also great- 5... More

We stayed here for 3 nights when we visited Chiang Mai. The main reason you want to stay here is for the extremely hospitable and welcoming management and owner Mr Kem. He continuously went over and above the role of a guest house owner, ensuring our stay was comfortable, that we got the best trip prices and info about traveling... More

The accommodation here is not bad, the rooms are clean and functional and I'd say for what you pay, not bad value at all... I would however add that the beds were a little hard, and more importantly so were the pillows meaning sleep quality wasn't the greatest. However, The rooms are cleaned daily by friendly staff. The breakfast is... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this guesthouse this month and have to say it was an AMAZING experience. Mr Kem is probably one of the kindest people we have ever met, he made us feel so welcome and provided an excellent sit down chat detailing great things for us to do in Chiang Mai, highlighted a walking route for... The owner does not go out of his way to arrange and manage EVERYTHING for you at very resonable prices. The room we had was average at best. The room was ok clean and the show was very small and in need of some refurbishing.
