As most reviewers have suggested, the hotel itself may be well-located; hence, it becomes easy to explore the town, However, the process of the check-in requires improvement. It may be worth mentioning that we have stayed at its chain hotel in Sathorn Bangkok earlier, so we could realize that something went wrong. First of all, the hotel has a unique... More

Dear ShihChyueh C and kuotaic, Greetings from U Chiang Mai. May I begin by offering my deepest and genuine sincere apologies over your recent stay at U Chiang Mai. I have taken the liberty of replying to both your reviews at the same time as we have ascertained that you were both from the same party. I was extremely disappointed... More

The moment I stepped into the hotel, I fell for it. The design of the whole building is mesmerizing and the room is delicately furnished. However, what happened during my stay would stop me from staying in this hotel ever again. The receptionist was not friendly and she skipped some details of information for guests, like free welcoming drinks and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of three centre honeymoon. Can't fault it! The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds although small are tranquil - perfect after a day of sightseeing. We had one of the rooms which has a private shared pool - there appears to be around four or so of these rooms and... More

We only stayed 3 nights in this little boutique hotel, but wished we had spent more. The hotel was clean and the staff very nice. Rooms over looked the central pool which is black in colour and good for a dip after a hot day sight seeing. Pool towels are provided, but there are only 6 nice wooden beds (we... More

Not our first time here, the hotel and staff are still as good as before and make it a nice place to stay. The free breakfast is better than before with a good range of food. Only downside is the free WiFi was hopeless, very slow and drop outs all the time, quite disappointed with that. Otherwise the place is... More

Great contemporary tropical feeling to this hotel. Very centrally located within the 'walls' of Chiang Mai central area. Great spacious rooms with private balconies. Lovely bathrooms and plenty of towels on a daily basis. The rooms are decorated in a great manner, very nicely designed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom is black terrazzo so does feel a... More

This beautiful hotel is perfectly located in the old town near the temples where we did the monk chat and the sunday night market was in front of our hotel. Breakfast was great, staff was lovely, and the décor and ambience was so perfect!!

Great boutique hotel right in the middle of it all. We walked everywhere. Do not miss the Sunday market. It is literally out your front door. The staff was very patient and helpful. They can help you with any requests you have for sightseeing. The breakfast is great. Just a note to travelers, remember to tip your servers and housekeeping.... More

Our family of 4 stayed 4 nights here from August 2nd, staying in 2 separate rooms (we have 2 teenage daughters). Some reviews were a little negative about the standard of the hotel. It isn't a glitzy 5 star hotel, but it is a beautiful, traditionally-styled small hotel. The hotel is quite small, with a little pool (but big enough... More

The U Chiang Mai is a boutique hotel in a very central position. The rooms are large and well appointed and the pool area is peaceful with plenty of loungers. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but this was freshly cooked to order food and was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble... More
