Stayed here for 2 nights in a whistle stop tour of thailand. Arrived around 9am from the overnight train - room not ready till 10pm but had drinks brought to us a nice cool reading room. Rooms are a good size, and breakfast on your own balcony is really great (no extra cost). Staff are friendly and helpful, organising taxis... More

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. Firstly the hotel is in the best location. Great welcome on arrival, clear information about the hotel and local area was provided. We had a bottle of wine and soaps laid out for us each day. Breakfast is served all day up until 10/11pm and you can even order it... More

Loved this little boutique hotel, elegant decor, comfortable rooms, you even get to choose your own soap from a choice of natural hand made soaps and the towels were the nicest smelling towels I've ever had in a hotel. The pool was fantastic and overall the hotel had a relaxing atmosphere. Like a little retreat inside the hustle and bustle... More

We travelled to Thailand to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted the hotels to be perfect. The U Chiang Mai did not disappointment. The hotel was in the perfect location in the Old City close to great restaurants, front and centre to the Sunday night market and within walking distance to the four main gates (or you can use... We stayed here for the 2nd week of our honeymoon. We had a pool room, which was great as it was reaching 38*C on days. Not sure some guests understood it was a private pool though (despite the obvious steps leading to 2 rooms!). Air conditioning was brilliant and the cool room was needed as a break from the heat.... Highly recommend-- hotel is tranquil and quiet away from street noise, but short walking distance to many main temples and the Sunday walking street with great restaurants all around. Pool is beautiful, staff is friendly, beds are comfy, room is clean, and breakfast option is a nice perk. Nothing but good things to say!

A reallycool hotel in the centre of chiang mai . Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Free fruit and bottles of water.surrounded by good cheap restaurants if you don't want to use the hotel.sunday market is on the road outside the hotel so it gets closed off to traffic. Market is huge and sells bargains galore as well as every... More

I finally understand how much location can affect a trip. This hotel is right across the street from multiple restaurants (in addition to a very good restaurant on-site), a short walk from Wat Chedi Luang (the best temple in Chiang Mai), and a short (borrowed from the hotel) bike ride from many other temples. We didn't swim, but the pools... More

We stayed for 2 weeks there and it was great. Room with pool access and a terrace made the time in the hotel great. A clean room, nice bathroom and a bed better than our own at home were the base for a great time in Chiang Mai. You are in the middle of the old town and there is... More

Nice location in the old town. Service was good. Decor was charming. Food was very good at breakfast and you can eat as much as you want with the ala carte buffet. My only complaint is the bathrooms... Which is very dark due to the dark colour scheme used. One evening I spotted a cockroach in the toilet it but... More
