We spend our last night in town at U. It was clean, efficient and friendly. There were several families there, but we felt it wasn't ideal for kids. Stone floors and glass bottles for water made me nervous and lots of steps to our room. Breakfast was fine, but there was no space when we came down. Staff was friendly

Lovely little hotel central location great staff. Rooms are very dark and have multiple levels be careful ! Lots of steps and no lift! But a great hotel. no bar but there are plenty of local bars in the area. Street market on a Sunday night starts right outside.

U Chiang Mai is located in the heart of the city and close to the area's most famous landmark, Wat Chedi Luang. There were many nice restaurants too nearby. The property was well-maintained and the staff was caring, helpful and knowledgeable. Many tours and excursions around the city can be booked through the hotel. They also had a decent variety... Hi very modern and well positioned hotel. We had a room with private pool ( shared with 3 others and jumping off point for any enterprising young lad). Room comfortable and well maintained. Fresh fruit and water everyday. Phenomenal Sunday night market right outside but generally a quiet oasis in a lovely city

Location - We like this area more so than the busy night bazaar area which is still only 5 mins tuk tuk ride or about 20 - 25mins walk. Reasons - not as noisy at night time, no sleazy strip like in night bazaar area which we came across when we walked back to the hotel after our trip to... More

From the moment you get to this hotel it is breathtaking. Tucked away in the centre of chiang mai you will find this little oasis. In walking distance from the night markets and other attractions. Friendly staff on arrival, spotless rooms which are a good size , bathroom and walk in shower also gives you plenty of room. Plus you... More

value for money at this hotel, it was very relaxing and luxurious and didnt have the high price tag. This is the only place I will stay in Chiang Mai from now on. Room and bathroom were huge, daybed on the balcony was great, they serve a free breakfast any time of day and you can have it anywhere you... More

We are looking for a room for our family because we'll come back to Chiangmai next February. When we asked the reception about price and room in February, they despised us and used a terrible attitude to tell us the price. I won't never stay in this hotel no matter how rich I am.

Dear 小廷 劉, Greetings from U Chiang Mai. I was extremely surprised to read your review and the apparent impoliteness you experienced from my staff because at U Chiang Mai we have an outstanding reputation for guest service as can be seen from our other reviews and current standing on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately after speaking to my staff about this... More

Everything you need in one place. The U is well-situated in the historic city centre, within walking distance of restaurants, temples, and on Sunday afternoons, the pedestrian night market that opens up right out front of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, well-lit, and in our case the wi-fi was free and efficient. Service is friendly and competent. The main pool... More

Stayed in U Chiang Mai for four nights. Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of the old town. Lovely rooms and a lovely pool. On Sunday the street the hotel is on becomes the Sunday Walking Street, a must do experience for souvenirs and some delicious street food. Loved the free bikes in the hotel - a lovely way to...
