This hotel was full when we arrived so I think we got the dodgy room with the broken mattress. But the room was a good size and had air con. Also this place is very reasonably priced. The second night we were in a smaller room but the bed was OK. I've found all beds are on the solid side... More

Here goes... Being a self proclaimed experienced traveller who opts for guesthouses rather than high end hotels, this place is kind of a letdown, as I had expected better based on the reviews I read from TA. Firstly the PROs. Location is excellent, though nestled in a tiny lane wide enough only for 1 car. 15-20mins walk to Night Bazaar... More

The location of this "hotel" is good for sure as it is within easy walking distance of all of the good sites that Chiang Mai has to offer though you could probably find a better place to stay and take a tuk tuk to these sites just as easily. As a place to stay it is not ideal if you... More

- Great location - centrally located but in a quiet street - Rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds - Service was great - Breakfast was ok but nothing to rave about - We loved Chiang Mai! Highly recommend the Elephant Nature Park, Basil Cooking School and the Sunday markets!

The location is perfect. Not in the middle of everything and 5 minute walk to night bazaars and other attractions. It is close to temples and endless shopping. There is a 7 11 right next door too! If you shop around you can find cheaper but I preferred this location. I checked out a few others but none had the same type... More

This boutique house is not up to the standard as its name claims. Run down room, zero noise insulation, dysfunctional bathroom door, poor breakfast are among the negative sides of this hotel. Any movement of my neighbour or anyone upstairs our room can be heard, especially the squeaky floorboard. The only positive thing is it's location which is only 5-7... More

Good hotel, good service and room/bathroom were clean and comfortable. The bathroom wasn't perfectly clean, but it was good enough for me. Breakfast is limited, only toast, eggs and sausage provided when requested (not as a buffet). I would stay there again. Good location!

This is a nice little hotel right by the Thapae gate. The google pin is off though so beware! The pin will drop you at the intersection by the gate but the hotel is down one of the side streets. Face the opening in the gate, now turn around and walk down the street leading away from the gate until... More

Thapae Boutique House has a great location a short walk to the Thapae Gate in the old city. We chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and were very happy to have stayed here. The lady at the front desk is very willing to help with any question or need and has good English. We were checked in swiftly... More
