I stayed for 6 nights and loved the place. Both Peter and Jiab were the ideal hosts, where nothing was too difficult. They picked me up and dropped me off at the airport (at no extra cost), helped with finding my way around Chiang Mai and were genuinely interested in ensuring I had a good time. The accommodation was excellent,... More

I stayed at PJ's in December 2013, I think for 4 nights. Peter and Jiab are great! I also enjoyed talking to other guests at breakfast. I was a solo traveler, straight, and I hired Jiab to be my personal guide for a day (Tiger Kingdom, Summer Palace, and Hmong Village). He was an excellent companion full of knowledge, and... More

We stayed only two days in Chiang Mai but enjoyed every one of it with the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were the best we had throughout our trip with the two owners having planned the whole place in loving detail. We were possibly the only straight and backpacking couple during the short stay but felt as much welcome... More

Me and my partner stayed at Pj for 5 nights last november 2013, and we loved every minute of it!! Co owner Jiab runs a tight ship with an eye for detail and perfection and this shows because PJ's Place It's a very nice and well maintained property! The room was very clean and warmly Thai decorated, not your standard... More

What can I say? Actually, I could write a 1,000,000 words about why you should chose this as your place to stay in Chiang Mai -- particularly for a first time visitor. But - in a rather unusual move for me -- I have decided to take the "less is more" approach and simply say that Jiab, Peter and their... More

My life style takes me quite often to international locales and because of the travel I stay in various kinds and classes of hotels and guest houses, most of which very remotely match the hyperbole and false characterizations of their web sites. For example, "near city center" actually means 1 hour transit by taxi. "Continental breakfast" actually means hard butter,... More

Just to point out that the location on the map is not correct. PJ's place is outside the old city, about 400 m on Haey Kaew road, on the right in a little soy. Apart from that, the place is perfect, so much so that it is very often full !

We had two short but lovely days visiting Chiang Mai and this was a real find for a guest house. We had two rooms - one a suite and another a double bedroom. The hosts are a wonderful friendly gay friendly team and every detail was covered and spotlessly clean. This place well deserves it's popularity and rating. Wish all... More
