Honest guest house, very close to Khaosan Road, with restaurants, bars and all amenities. But still away from all the chaos and noise of the area. Cheap, quite clean, with free wifi and safety lockers. On the other hand, bed mattresses are quite bad: after a few nights your back's gonna hurt.

The location was good, within walking distance from Khao San Road, the Grand Palace and the river. It was down a narrow alley way off the main road so there was very little traffic noise. The room was quite small but it the price is very reasonable. The manager was lovely, in fact when I returned there a second time... More

We stayed here on the last night of Songkran (Thai new year). Ali the owner has a very dry sense of humour which can be mistaken as rudeness at first but he is very helpful and funny when you get to know him. The location of this hotel is perfect - you can walk to the madness of Koh San... More

Amarin Inn is located in a small narrow street, just few minutes walking from the busy Khao San and such. It personally was not why I decided to stay there, but I'm glad I did coz I found a small lovely park just across the road, over looking the river, where you can really get away from all the noise... we had booked 2 nights but the manager let us cancel one of our nights and just have 1 (because we didnt like bangkok, not because of amarinn inn) rooms were basic and clean, bit dark but that wasnt much of an issue as it kept the room cool. great if youre a backpacker/travelling on a budget. Manager is friendly,... More

I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. I arrived there at 10pm after a journey that last more than 24h. I chose this place cause it has wifi and private bathroom. The girl at reception gave me a room at the end of corridor. When I tried to use the wifi, signal was so poor I cannot... More

We booked three nights in advance at the Amarin Inn online. When we arrived at 4 in the afternoon there was no one at the reception. Everything was open and unattended, the book with all the personal details of the other guests was laying flipped open on the counter, the computer as well as the so called "office" were accessible... Unfortunately, having read reviews we thought this place would at the very least be clean. We've stayed in some realllyyy grotty places in our time. Good experiences! But this place was just not worth it. Located in a hidden alley way. The owner wasn't nasty but just seriously miserable. I dare you to strike conversation with him. The rest of... More

I liked everything about the place - clean rooms, clean bathrooms abit small though, good bedding. The only bad thing about it is it is difficult to find the place. 7 mins walk from Khaosan with all its restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some small tables just outside - nice to have a beer before going to bed.... More

stayed here for 2 nights was a small but nice room with en-suite. Bed was horrible to sleep in (not because it had bugs or anything nasty) as the mattress was made from leather or a similar material and did not have an elasticated sheet so was hot and sticky. other than that the room was fine and we enjoyed...
