I stayed at the Amarin for 4 nights and it was ok, pros and cons like anywhere... Cons - had to ask for toilet paper when we arrived in the room (surely this is a basic requirement when housekeeping make up the room for a new guest?). Housekeeping didnt come once during our stay...to be honest the cleanliness left a... More

To be honest I've read some horrendous reviews about the inn and i was worried at first that it would be a disastrous stay but it turned out alright, quite nicely, even. I was traveling with three other friends, and we wanted to stay together in one room but it was extremely difficult book a room for four adults near... More

This hotel is fine. Nothing more. We had no issue for the price. However Ieft behind a fairly expensive rain jacket in the wardrobe and despite asking a Thai friend to call them for me they couldn't find it. I suppose another guest could have taken it.

Cleanliness is a matter of wish and hard work, not budget necessarily. I think this issue is a matter of luck by the looks of other reviews. When I arrived I saw ticks on the bed. When I smelled the pillows it smelled someone else's sweat and cigarettes. When I questioned it (nicely), the grumpy guy at reception did not deny... More

It is a big struggle to find the hotel. Our cabbie drove past it and we almost missed it again had it not been for my wife and the traffic. From Prasumen road there is a 1 mtr wide lane which you have to walk 50mts inside to reach it. The board at the entrance to the lane is also... More

I felt so bad for our taxi driver. He was so lost trying to find the place, and the number provided for Amarin wasn't working. He stopped to ask other taxi drivers, called in dispatch, and finally flagged someone down who directed us to the impossibly narrow alleyway with the unlit sign. So, once you manage to find the place,... More

It's an inexpensive, basic place to sleep and shower Amarin Inn worked for my purposes: it's a cheap place to sleep. You should know that it is located in a very narrow back alley - the kind where you can almost reach both walls with your fingertips. Some people may find this unpleasant, and it does make Amarin hard to... More

It was easy to book online via Hostelbookers. Too bad Amarin did not keep my reservation. When I arrived at the Amarin Guesthouse after a long flight, they said they had my reservation that I had made via Hostelbookers 2 weeks ago, but they did not have any room left. They were full. So I said I had paid a... More

This hotel has the basics that budget shoppers seek. It is in a quiet location. It has clean, comfortable rooms with quiet air conditioning. Wi-fi in rooms. Small but adequate bathrooms with hot showers. TV with some English channels. Close to shopping, restaurants and river ferry.
