This hotel is in a great area for reasonable bars and restaurants - lots of choice. I had an initial stay of 4 nights at the beginning of a four week tour of Thailand. I liked it so much that I went back and had the last two nights there as well. The bedrooms are spacious with a firm bed... More

We actually stayed for 4 nights over New Year's, and we couldn't have been more pleased. First off, though, you should be aware that this is not a classic "guest house": it's a hotel by every definition. We read many so-so reviews and decided to give it a chance anyway. We're happy we did. The staff was friendly and helpful,... More

Not easy to find and choose ONE hotel in BKK. New Siam fit the bill as I was looking for: -Good location so I could myself locate the hotel anytime at night. -Clean, safe, quiet, nice room, good value and close to Khao San without being right in it. Im glad we made it in New Siam as I have... More

The rooms were slightly on the small size but good, with a nice view of the river (the river view rooms are the definate go). Our booking included breakfast, which is buffet style and good. The outdoor area overlooking the river is quiet, pleasant and scenic. Even though we had paid in advance the hotel asked for a refundable 1,000... More

If you come to Bangkok you just have to visit Khao Sarn. It’s a back packer ghetto but in its dirty, scary, sleazy, and rip-off-the-tourist way, it is one of those things you just have to do. So staying here can be a fun experience, and also a necessity as Khao sarn is most fun at night. Staying in Khao... More

My wife and I stayed at the River Siam in late May 2011 for three nights. Our experience was very good. Our daughter and husband stayed there in 2009 with our young grandchild and had enjoyed the experience. We came from two months of travelling through Europe and although it was a fabulous holiday, we wanted to relax, so we... More

Very good location, If you want to stay near Kao San and not be bothered by too much hustling and bustling, stay here! Also very close to the river and the taxiboats. The staff is friendly and helpful, the pool is nice. Even the breakfast is good relative to Thai standards. Overall good food in the restaurant. Would definately stay... More

The hotel is correct but the price for a roonm (70€) on riverside is expensive compared to what you have on internet for a 5* hotel. Otherwise, food is good, expensive room a bit cheap. nice ppol and location on river allows use of river buses. Doors are noisy especially during night. More

We were very happy with this hotel for approx. $42 USD. Great location just steps away from the river taxi which is fun and easy to get around especially going to Grand Palace. The location is close to Khoa San Rd. with a lot of action on the walk over to that street. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortably cool... More

I stayed in the New Siam Riverside for 2 nights last week. Checking in - I asked for an "upgrade" to a riverside room (I strongly suggest this to all - as the view and bustle of river traffic is to "die for" !) that cost me an additional $10. So room was $65 a night (corporate rate as I... More
