We stayed for 2 nights and found this a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We felt it was good value for the price, given the quality and comfort of the rooms, and the staff were very welcoming. The location is good - across the road from the Grand Palace and Wat Po, and amongst the riverside markets which... more

Arum the River place is a real find for Bangkok a four story boutique hotel right on the river. The building is like a Georgian Mansion from europe ,wonderful rooms, views, linen and quality furnishings that make you feel special. The staff and management all locals cannot do enough for you great service. There is a very nice breakfast available... more

Pleasant enough boutique establishment close to the Chao Phraya (but without any direct access on the river as there is a row of buildings inbetweeen) but small with minimum facilities. Has free wi-fi in the lobby and reasonable rooms but a little small and views are limited. Would be decent enough as a 3 star hotel but certainly it is... more

My daughter and I stayed at the Arum hotel for 3 nights. We did think at first that the room was a little small but somehow the owner had thought of everything and there was a place for everything. The beds were of the highest quality and so we got wonderful sleeps. The roomi itself was elegantly furnished and the... more

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Aurum. We stayed in Room 401, which we recommend because it has a great view. I disagree with the other posters that the rooms are small, as ours was the perfect size. The bed is comfy, the bathroom nice (with great water pressure to boot!). Furthermore, the staff is... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in Aug 2009. It was a wonderful little place right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. My friends and I shared room 401 (I would STRONGLY request this room as it has the BEST view of the river!). The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. There was a bit... more

First time in Bangkok and at end of a 3 week Thai trip this was by some way the best hotel we stayed in. Really nice staff who gave us some great advice but knew when to let us get on and do our own thing. Very nice and clean place, wonderfully comfy bed. Nice breakfast too - check out... more

I like this hotel. The room is not too big. Just enough for 2 persons but it's clean and cozy. I think it's just newly renovated. The staffs are very helpful. They even advise us to ignore the Tuk Tuk drivers or any stranger who was trying to approach us by giving us wrong information about the Grand Palace and... more

We enjoyed our stay at Aurum. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Breakfast included in price (you get to select the night before). Down a quiet street in old city and hotel has view of the river. Very convenient for Wat Po and Grand Palace, Democracy Monument, but not near Silom and Pat Pong (thankfully!) Rooms are small but well... more

Stayed in the Aurum 15-20 Feb 09. Room was roomy, clean, comfortable. Bath was modern and well appointed. Cable TV, in-room safe, ample air conditioning, king size bed. Location is excellent, within walking distance of Wat Pho (reclining Buda), Grand Palace, China Town, Flower Market, nite markets, restaurants and bus-boat stops for river travel. Breakfast is generous, served in outdoor... more
