We enjoyed our stay at Aurum. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Breakfast included in price (you get to select the night before). Down a quiet street in old city and hotel has view of the river. Very convenient for Wat Po and Grand Palace, Democracy Monument, but not near Silom and Pat Pong (thankfully!) Rooms are small but well... more

Stayed in the Aurum 15-20 Feb 09. Room was roomy, clean, comfortable. Bath was modern and well appointed. Cable TV, in-room safe, ample air conditioning, king size bed. Location is excellent, within walking distance of Wat Pho (reclining Buda), Grand Palace, China Town, Flower Market, nite markets, restaurants and bus-boat stops for river travel. Breakfast is generous, served in outdoor... more

So pleased we chose Aurum River Place, the location couldn't be better, Aurum River Place itself is a cool welcoming oasis down a relatively quiet side street , set back from the river, sparkling clean rooms, supremely comfortable beds, quality decor, we were more than happy with the lovely river view from room 201, We could have found a cheaper... more

This was the first hotel of our month long trip in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. It is a small hotel situated near the flower market and lots of the temples. It is not particularly close to the city centre, skytrain or PatPong; these are a 20 minute taxi ride away. It does not have a bar or restaurant, but both... more

Staying in Aurum the River Place during Christmas, we were so happy with the river view room, as well as the convenient location to explore around the old Bangkok area. You can either walk or take a cheap tuk tuk ride to all the old areas like the Grand Palace and Kao San. It is so easy to locate as... more

Following the advice of other travelers, we requested - and got - room 401. It is, indeed, the best room in the house, with a gorgeous river view. My sons were in room 403, a room without a view. Both rooms were gorgeous, and when you consider the price and the location, the view isn't such a big deal -... more

the Aurum was a wonderful find. After staying on the Kaosan Road 3 times, we really wanted something with just a little bit more comfort and also off the beaten track. Just a 10 minute walk away from the Wat Poh and all its madness, the Aurum is hidden down a little side street where it's quiet. The rooms were... more

My girlfriend and I just recently spent 3 wonderful nights in this little hotel. Its location is perfect for sightseeing. Many of Bangkok's top attractions are within walking distance. The room was very clean and well taken care of. The staff is very friendly and will help you in anyway they can. They will even get you local prices for... more

I found this small boutique hotel by accident about a year ago and have stayed there now on two occasions. It is located in my favorite area of Bangkok for walking, near some of the oldest and most interesting parts of the city. It's also within walking distance (or short taxi ride) to some of Bangkok's best small local restaurants.... more

A wonderful, small and friendly place. Immaculately clean. Great location for the old city - Grand Palace and Wat Po. I was doing a massage course at Wat Po - it took me 90 seconds to get there from the hotel! Very quiet at night - which I loved - but don't go there if you want night life! more
