I stayed here a couple of times during my time in Thailand. The location was great - away from the main hustle & bustle but right on the edge of it and away from the main roads but it feels safe here. The food was always nice that I had especially breakfast and they got quite used to the way... More

This hotel is a decent average choice for a couple of nights, but there are much better options if you wish to stay in the area longer. I made the unfortunate mistake of staying a total of 6 nights. Loved it the first night after arriving from Canada, then it gradually went downhill after that, but I was too lazy... More

Not the very cheapest in the area, but after checking several other places, i ended up once again at this guesthouse...single room is small and hot, and all the way up on the 5 th floor... however there is a window and a strong fan, and it's very clean, with freshly laundered sheet and towel...rate is still 280 baht...i checked... Since two years I stayed in this guesthouse about 5-8 times. Always very short as we only did stop overs in Bangkok but we always liked it in new Siam. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the hotel very quiet compared to others around that area. You cannot get such a... More

I have stayed there maybe 10 times the past 5 years and the more I go the more I like it. Rooms are simple, the ones "ensuite" have AC and a TV which are old but work. It is definitely not the best hotel in Bangkok considering you can get a very good room for almost nothing compares to european... More

Having already stayed at New Siam 2 & 3 previously I knew what to expect from New Siam I and that's exactly what we got. Comfortably sized clean room with air con and a hot shower for a very reasonable price in the heart of the backpacker action, yet far enough away from khao San rd to get a good... More

I stayed in a single room - communal showers & toilets. This is a basic, but solid hotel. One your girlfriend or somebody with high standards wouldn't like but perfectly fine if like me after a long flight from the UK, just need a place to hit the sack before you gather your bearings! My room included a fan only... More

I've just stayed 3 nights at New Siam I during Songkran. The rooms are good enough for the price, 280baht for a Single room. 2 showers (1 with water heater) and 1 toilet per floor available. Only lots of ants in the room and matrass was really hard. Bed sheet and towel is availeble but no blankets. I didn't like... More

I stayed here for the first night of my trip because this was one of the first places that popped up on the internet with decent reviews and after a long flight I just needed a bed to crash on. It served it's purpose for the night and by the next day while the location was great (very close yet... More

Ok, so don't expect a 5 star hotel but in all our trips to Bangkok we always ended up staying here The good: - Perfect location! Just 5 min walk to Khao San Road and without all the noise - Good size clean rooms - White sheets!.... and we all know its a luxury around here ;) - The cheapest... More
