My friend recommended we stay here and it didn't disappoint. We booked a double, a/c room with a private bathroom for 600 baht. Room was nice, clean and bed was comfy. The location was perfect, close to the nightlife of Banglamphu, but quiet and relaxed. I have to say the massage ladies upstairs were AMAZING. Best massages we had and... more

This place was packed and I'm glad we made reservations well in advance. The location is excellent, very close to Khaosan Road and close to local bus stops. We walked or took the bus to most of Bangkok's tourist spots easily from the hotel. The staff was friendly and the food was good. We'd stay there again. more

Nice guesthouse with friendly staff and clean rooms. Rooms are basic, just a bed and a desk. Location is good, just 5 mins from khao san rd, and is very quiet at night. Wifi available in rooms. Possibly a tad pricey for what you get, but friendly atmosphere. more

Let me start of by saying that my husband and I both hold very good jobs, and make good money. We regretted staying in this dump, but we had heard that backpacker hotels were simple and clean, so that is why initially we gave it a try. This would be a good place to stay for poor college students, or... more

The service received at the Lamphu House was very good. The front desk was extremely helpful as was the travel desk located within the Guest House lobby. Our room did not have a balcony and for the additional fee, I would book a room with a balcony next time. With that said, the room was basic, clean and was a... more

LOCATION: This place was a great location. It was a quick 5 minute walk to Khao San Road... It's nice because it's on a nice street that isn't as crazy and loud as Khao San Road, but you are still close enough to get the access to Khao San Road. It's kind of hard to see from the street, since... more

This guest house is popular. Make sure you book ahead. I stumbled on it just walking around Khao San Road trying to find a decent place to stay. I looked at a few dumps and then I found this gem hidden away. At first they didn't have a room, I was told to come back in an hour and try... more

The previous positive reviews sum up Lamphu's standards. This is a good value gueshouse and is well positioned. It is not easy to book a room if you are getting in late. The staff are excellent and the management are on the ball. I have stayed at and checked out several other guesthouses in the area and Lamphu would be... more

The Lamphu House is truly a hidden gem as its so close to khao san, yet so quiet at night! We stayed there for 2 nights in a fan double ensuite which was great. The room was clean as was the bathroom (nice hot shower). The restaurant has great food for a fair price and the internet at the hostel... more
