This is the second time we've stayed at Lamphu House and it's just as good as it was 2 years ago. It's easy to make a booking through their website and they provide directions in Thai for you to give to the taxi driver, meaning no communication problems. Our twin room was quite small, but the beds are comfortable. Hot... More

This guesthouse provides you a place near the Khao San Road on the Rambuttri, but all in still relaxed and calm atmosphere. Food, a seven eleven and major touristy places are quite around the corner. Friendly staff and reasonable prices complete the package. Recommendation!

After a long 36 hours worth of traveling it was lovely to arrive at lamphu house to friendly staff and a clean room. Stayed for 4 nights and felt safe and satisfied all the time, have told real life friends that are visiting Bangkok to use lamphu house, might return for 2 nights before our flight home next month!

We booked the family triple for our family of four. We spent 3 nights here and though it was humble, it was great. The wifi was only in the lobby, or rooms near the lobby which is an outdoor area that doubles as their restaurant. Of all the places we stayed in Thailand, it was by far the most humble,... More

Room was very clean, shared bathrooms were clean. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. The location was amazing, 2 minutes from Khao San, but far enough that you don't hear any ruckus. Next to a 7-11 and Money Exchange. Extended our stay for our duration in Bangkok, and will return.

Stayed here for a couple nights upon arrival, then went off wandering for a month before returning for 3 more nights. They have a very organized left luggage setup (10b/day) which made our travelling much lighter. We had a superior a/c double room – fairly large, good beds, good shower, a balcony. We were on the first and second floors... More

I booked our room online, unsure if what was on my screen would actually be what I was sleeping in and to my surprise, it was really nice. We booked a room for 3, with a private bathroom and A/C for a couple of nights and it came out to about 10 bucks per person per night. The outside of... More

When trying to find a room close to Khao San road we stubbled across this little pearl. It has its own little yard with a great lobby and wifi. We booed a night with fan and shared bathroom and couldn't cconplain about anything. Price WA 460bht per night

Lovely place, to hang out in. Clean rooms and shared facilities. Preferred the shared bathroom option room. We had to move rooms after a few nights and actually the more expensive room was looking tired and there were lots of flies. Good food at the restaurant. Really nice shared area. Friendly, helpful staff. I would recommend and return when we... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
