We are a young couple backpacking around various destinations. After 2 months in Goa India, we had this place booked for 1 night before flying to Vietnam. We were absolutely delighted! Clean, Fantastic shower, lovely bed, which after backpacking around is such a delight!! Big mattress with comfy fluffy pillows, crisp & clean, wonderful! Fridge in room with complimentary water,... This place has clean rooms and delicious food - staff is SO FRIENDLY!! It was a bit over our budget but a friend who had been there a week before recommended it and we were super pleased. (1200b for two twins w AC) Walking distance to Koh San crazy town but very quiet and we had an awesome night sleep.... More

I stayed here for 5 nights, my first trip to Bangkok and travelling solo. Helpful staff and I was able to check in early straight from the airport. The hotel for the price is good value for money, decent sized rooms, clean, powerful hot shower, aircon, fridge, tv with some English channels, 2 bottles of water a day, use of... More

The price is right for what you get and the location is good, near Koh San road but enough removed to not be Right in it. Restaurant is nice, helpful front desk and a pool which looks nice although we didn't have a chance to use it. It's right for a day or two of wanting to be in that... More

Have been staying here for three times. Location is good, close to the Khao San but without all the noise. Staff has been nice and they have been helpful to us with public holidays and with the protests few years back. Breakfast is average (egg, toast, ham), so is the food at the restaurant. Rooms are bit outdated but the... More

Recently stayed a couple of nights here and if it wasnt for time constraints would have gladly stayed longer. Got treated really well by friendly polite staff and the room was exactly what i wanted. Usually stay at Viengtai but they were closed for renovations and suggested their sister hotel, this one. Room was basic but very nice and comfortable... More

Good choice of budget accomodation. Very clean and comfortable, air conditioning fantastic after a long day of walking the hot busy streets of Bangkok. About 5mins walk from Kho San Road which was great as there was no noise. If you are looking for flash this is not it but it was all we needed and had fantastic nights sleeps... More

The hotel is in great location, clean, super staff. The unfortunate thing was a room full of mosquitoes every night. We had to burn coils, and that is ugly.I feel it is hotel's responsibility for control of this in closed rooms.

Friendly staff, a basic clean room and bed, a very nice pool for after travel refreshing swim, and safe, quiet location make this a fine choice. To an American, this is like a Motel-6 ... all that you need at a good price. Not much charm; not fancy. If you're on a budget and want to be sure you're in... More

This hotel lies just outside the madness of Khao San Road. The staff was friendly, especially at the restaurant. We had breakfast and lunch there, it was good and not too expensive. Our room (306) was small but clean. The room had a modern TV, fridge and air-conditioning. We didn't had a great view, we were looking at the wall... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
