"Is not worth the money to be treated so bad". March 2015. We stayed for over a week. First 3 days she asked ruddelly for money as we paid. After another 3 days she didnt say anything so at the fourth day: we waited the hole morning until noon for someone who could fix the licking we had the hole... More

We arrived in Bangkok and headed over to backpacker central, Koh San Road, aiming to stay in a guesthouse recommended by friends. The place we intended on staying was full, so we carried on walking a little further where we found Four Sons guesthouse. Rooms were very basic but also very cheap. Perfect for a night or two in Bangkok... More

I am writing this review so late ... I stayed at 4 sons in October 2010, with other 3 friends, all boys, The place is good for sleeping, with no breakfast. Rooms are clean enough but not fancy at all.

We were super tired from a month partying on the islands and wanted a private room after staying in hostels/beach huts every night. The room was fine, air conditioned, clean, towels & toiletries and the staff were so helpful, we had just come off a bus at 4am and had nowhere booked and were pretty much facing a night sleeping... Arrived very late around 1am and stayed only for one night. Four sons was the only guesthouse still offering rooms at this time in Soi Rambuttri. The price was reasonable for an airconditioned double room (~550 Baht). The condition of the room was not the best, only superficially clean, the furniture looked quite used and the mattress was too hard.... More

After moving around 4 different hostels in Bangkok (all close to Khoasan Road) we stumbled across this one and stayed 2 nights. Very comfy beds and great aircon!!! wifi in all rooms and staff very friendly and helpful close to the hustle and bustle of khoasan but tucked away so can get some sleep!

First I will mention the good things: we slept pass the noon check out and they didn't charge extra. Also they stored our luggage with no additional fee. They lady at the front was perhaps exhausted or under the weather. She acted as if we were the ones to be cheerful. Oh we'll, apparently that's Bangkok. Then once we got... More

I am unable to review the guesthouse as we were not staying there, however we chose their restaurant for dinner. I still do not know why we stayed, the service was horrible, after we sat down, the waitress came over, did not say one word, and plopped two menus down. She proceeded to go back to the table she had... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
