I've been staying at Ascott Sathorn for quite a while whenever I'm in Bangkok because of several reasons. Location wise, it's very close to sky train and taxi is always available but try to avoid the rush hour. My apartment's very spacious, which its own full kitchen, handy if you travel for a couple weeks at a time so you... more

I spent two nights at the Ascott Sathorn in Bangkok. I selected the hotel based on its excellent reputation, as well as for its fitness center (top of the line) and pool. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the rooms are, which included a small kitchen and large living room. The spaciousness was quickly diminished by the lack of... more

When I opened my room door, I can't believe it! The room has a living room, a dinning room, a kitchen (includes laundry and dryer), and a separate bedroom. If you want to have a spacious room in Bangkok on your next trip, look no further. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool (about 20 metres) and outdoor restaurant.... more

The hotel was good, the room, room service, location everything was very good. My Birthday was during my stay and I got a pleasant surprise when relationship manager came to my room with a birthday cake and a small memento. It had touched me very much. more

I stayed at the Ascott in Manila and it was very good. Keeping in view that experience, I booked this Ascott and it was GREAT. Stayed in a 2bedroom and was impressed by the design and layout. The staff was helpful and courteous. My husband used the spa and loved it. The pool is great too. Now what could have... more

Have now stayed at the Ascott 3 times and would generally say its my preferred choice in Bangkok. I used to stay regularly at the Dusit Thani but after having tried the Ascott I am a convert! Lots of space - we ususally take a 2 bedroom executive which offers 2 large master bedrooms, both en-suite, and a massive open... more

For a special occasion, this hotel did not disappoint. In typical 5 star style, the lobby was impressive with a huge water feature. Our room was spacious with a separate living space and contained pretty much every thing we expected. We enjoyed much of the hot afternoons by the hotel pool sipping cocktails and just relaxing and fortunately there were... more

To escape work I checked into the Ascott for 2 weeks of relaxation in March. I am sorry 2Coast2 had a bad experience but I feel compelled to offer my comments. As to soap, the full range of L'occitane was replaced daily. Very impressive. I had ordered a special newspaper for my stay and it was handled before my arrival... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Ascott. It's a home-like alternative to a hotel, but it lacks some of the personal attention we're accustomed to in Bangkok. The Ascott seems intent on "nickel and diming" its guests. Internet access is costly and not great. You have to beg for towels and soap. Bangkok is known for its hospitality, so those... more
