After a long flight from Amsterdam to Bangkok we arrived at Shanti Lodge. We were optimistic about our stay in the beginning. The restaurant was looking cute. I noticed that everybody was walking bare footed, even the tourists (quite dirty if you ask me). When the staff showed us our room I was quite shocked. Why is Shanti Lodge amazing/fantastic/perfect???... More

We were lucky lodgers at Shanti Lodge multiple times throughout our three weeks journey in Thailand, and each time we were welcomed by friendly and warm staff, delicious food, comfortable living space, and a tranquil ambience. Shanti Lodge became our second home during our stay. The staff were super helpful in recommending transportation and activities throughout Bangkok, and pretty much... More

It has a very nice atmosphere and the necessary AC in rooms for newly arrived tourists that are not used to the heat. Good location not far from Thewes Dock Nr. 15 local ferry which takes you to memorial bridge fast and cheap. Friendly staff were one of them speaks English fluently (American women I think). Restuarant has many options... More

Second time I've stayed at Shanti Lodge and couldn't be more pleased. The rooms are basic but the AC is strong. The restaurant area is very relaxing and enjoyable to sit. The food is good too. Some here say the food is overpriced, but that is to be expected of a western-oriented full menu at a decent establishment. A family... More

We stayed at Shanti Lodge for 2 nights. It was a great place to stay on arrival in to the madness of Bangkok. Tucked down a little side street behind the National Library, looks like a little oasis with all of the plants outside! We opted for the room with air conditioning which is fully recommended when arriving in Bangkok... More

First Impression : Very trendy place and nice lounge to be watched ! Happy to arrive here. Reception : Where is the "country of smile" in this hotel ? Everybody is polite, but it's nice to go out to remember you're in Thaïland. The Expensive Room : We've had a 500THB room and it was with fan only with a... More

If your looking for that Bangkok experience and your needing somewhere to crash that's safe, clean and friendly on a budget you can't go wrong with Shanti. My wife and I stayed for two nights April 2015 and found the place clean, comfortable and welcoming. This was my wife's second visit the first being 20 years ago and while slightly... More

You may not remember me, but I am a customer that visits your place since min. 10 year, maybe longer.. I come in and I go out and you might not see me. But I recommended your place to many friends of mine. There are some issues that I realized: Dear Don as you are the owner of that busines,... More

This was a perfect place for us to stay. Just like family.Took good care of us. Mr. Happy speaks English and is a very big help with what to do. We used this as a home port in Thailand. Went up no and down south but came back in between. Felt like coming home each time. They have budget basic... More

I stayed some days here and I was really pleased. The rooms are very good priced and the atmosphere of the place is really relaxing. Its a break in the middle of the busy Bangkok. The rooms are really simple and without any luxury at all, I was not very pleased with them but for what you pay is more... More
