The rooms are clean. The staff is very helpful. The price is affordable. Variety of rooms from basic to deluxe. The place is is constantly being upgraded and remodeled. Small restaurants on the nearby Sri Bumphren street are just a couple of minutes walk away.

Favorite place to stay in Bangkok, well for me - the only place to stay. Fantastic staff, great location, cheap rooms, ageing furniture - but well maintained. Rock hard mattresses and pillows (fortunately for me, I like that) great 24hr restaurant, massage and a perfectly adequate pool.

The Malaysia is a 'tired' property. Public areas and rooms don't look they've been changed since my last visit in 1977! Nevertheless, prices are reasonable, location is okay and restaurant is serviceable. Property is clean. Staff are helpful. Visitors should be aware that WiFi and breakfast cost extra. Dining options outside of the hotel are limited.

After staying in Khao San (and getting pretty bored of it) we chose to stay at Malaysia as something different. The hotel is very simple, the rooms are basic. But it's good value for small money. Rooms are clean, staff is very helpful. Good restaurants, massage studios just next door. 15 min walk to Silom road with all the nightlife. They have a pool and you can even meet friendly other budget travellers there.

Basic and looking a bit tired but all you need. Staff are very friendly and swimming pool is clean. After you get used to the peculiar smell its ok, its not gone win awards but will do for the budget traveler. All in all value for money, you get what you pay for.

hotel is good no doubt but on a very poor location nothing is near about the hotel, there is no restaurants, bars or market near about this hotel.... you have to take taxi or metro if you want to go anywhere because nothing is available near about this hotel.

I have just spent 6 days at the Malaysia hotel and would find it difficult to fault. The rooms are spotless, service is excellent and the restaurant offers first class food at a very reasonable rate.
