My wife and I spent a couple of nights here on our honeymoon; we had just arrived in Bangkok at the beginning of four weeks of travel across Thailand. Here's my take: Pros - If you like firm mattresses (which I do) you'll love the beds. - The food carts in the vicinity of the hotel are excellent. To be... More

Pros - Super clean - Nice little rooftop pool. Nothing fancy, but it does the job - Wonderfully hard bed. If you're a soft-bed person, well, Thailand is full of hard beds, including the ones at Siam Heritage. - Decent location near high-speed rail lines - Super friendly and helpful staff Cons - The phone in our room didn't work.... I would've given this review a 1 if it wasn't for the friendly and helpful girls at the reception desk. Room we were given had a very unfortunate view but I guess they had no choice, the window opened to a very dirty wall from the building next door. Bathroom was clean but the bathtub was mouldy. The bed was... More

The Siam Heritage attempts to present an old style Thai dwelling as a boutique hotel and to some extent succeeds. It is situated in a convenient location for exploring Downtown Bangkok and for excursions further afield across the city. The excellent Skytrain is a short walk away. The area does include a number of sleazy establishments, massage parlours and bars... More

I was quite impressed with the hotel, given the price and location. The room was very nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed, however, had a sheet that was too short (or so it seemed), which meant that near your feet was just fare duvet. The rooftop pool is lovely, and the breakfast comprehensive.

Hotel: the hotel is quite nice, and the room was clean, but some of the furniture looked quite outdated (worn fabric, paint of wooden windowsill coming off, ...). We also had a rather old kitchenette in the room. That being said, the room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a rather large shower with anti-slippery floor... More

Went to Bangkok first time for 4 nights. Chose this hotel out of a Lonely Planet recommendation. Stayed on the 8th floor in one of the Suites. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in calling good taxi's, pointing you in the right direction (take the river for 15BHT instead of a 100-200BHT taxi in traffic), and even helping... We have stayed here before- a lovely friendly hotel with traditional Thai furnishings and decor. It has a central location right by the Skytrain. This time we were only passing through Bangkok for a night. They kindly upgraded us to a quiet corner room on the 8th (executive) floor with a big king sized bed. The room was somewhat compact... This hotel was ok, but not great. The room was cutely decorated in what is I guess "authentic Thai" style and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, when we went to our room, supposedly on a non-smoking floor, the entire hallway smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke which also carried somewhat into our room. I am not a smoker... I really loved this hotel. Extremely friendly staff, warm and welcoming. I accidentally left my jewellery on the bedside table and came back and found it even after the room was cleaned. Room was cleaned every day and the location was perfect for our needs. Looking forward to staying here again. Which will much sooner than expected
