I have passed through Bangkok quite a bit, I first stayed at the Rose in 2009 and been back nearly each year since and they have always remembered me which is nice. for the money, the hotel is very good. train line 100 meters behind the hotel, great pool, rooms are okay however my personal preference is the 2nd floor... Location to die for, Take teh taxiin but afterwards use the tram/taxi but never tuktuks in this city. Rooms are small but you didn't come here to stay in the room. Breakfast is good enough, see if you can get teh lady serving to smile. The pool is also small. We ahve stayed here several times and will stay here... More

We find the hotel rooms average however location was good if you aim for Patpong. No breakfast, swimming pool looked ok. The evening shift stuff hardly spoke English. We expected more at the price of 1800 bath for a standard room.

We checked into this hotel after a day of travelling and decided to 'splash out' on something nicer then the guesthouses we've been staying at. Unfortunately, we regretted this almost immediately as the service and ambiance at most £6 guesthouses is much better. Furthermore, the hotel 'kindly' provide you with 30min of free wifi after which it's 100 baht/hr. Most... More

The Rose Hotel used to be a terrible dive, used mostly for 'short-time bookings' with the girls from Pat Pong, but a few years ago it underwent a refurb, and is now a charming little boutique hotel in a brilliant location for night life, shopping, and the sky train. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped, the staff friendly and... More

If you want a nice pool and a hotel that you will literally just sleep in then this is fine. Anymore than that then look else where. Bangkok is for exploring so really you should only be in you hotel to sleep, but if you are on a 1 night stop over there are cheaper and if you are a... More

Located directly behind the Le Meridien, it can be difficult to explain to taxis. So, have the taxi take you to outside the Le Meridien and just walk down the Soi. The Rose is an upgraded older hotel that offers a great swimming pool and clean rooms, good linen and services. The Le Meridien is a hotel in another class,... More

This hotel is home to our tailor, Saville Row, and we only had 2 nights in town for this trip, so Rose Hotel was utterly convenient. Location is party prime. (Khao San Road is backpack hippie haven) Phat Pong is wild adult area. Awesome shopping, massage parlous everywhere, sex district (if that's your bag) and plenty of eateries. The hotel...the... More

Convenient hotel, quite quiet, clean, rooms are not very big though, not many TV channels in english, drinks warm in the mini bar. For me it is fair value, not far from subway stations, restaurants; swimming pool is nice and the restaurant nearby is awesome, very good. Ladies at the front desk are not very warm but well, that's ok... More
