This hotel is a bit difficult to find for the taxi drivers as it is in a back alley. Great location in the central of BKK close to all the good outdoor markets, just a few steps away from the famous Night Market and ping pong show bars, there is also a some gay streets with bars etc. close. Cute... More

Clean and well maintained rooms, WIFI a great swiming pool. Good breakfat, the hotel has everything, but the location is aswsome. Very close to public transport (airport) and the most exciting nightlife The only thing is the lobby. Very basic and looks like on at a hostel, but don't get fooled by that.

I used to frequent this hotel in the past however on a recent stay I found the hotel mattress bed seems to be hard not too comfortable. Breakfast is at the lobby simple meals either you can get a scramble egg with sausages and a toast or the other option porridge. There's no lift after the 4th floor you need... More

We've been staying here for more than 15 years. We spend a little more for a corner suite that provides a sitting area and a larger bed. The room comes with a safe, small fridge, two water, and wifi. We had no problems with wifi in room 309, but the additional family in rooms 302 and 303 had nothing but... More

The Rose is ideally situated just off Surawong yet is a quiet hotel. A taxi to Le Meridien and a very short walk in is best solution for daily taxi trips. Room on sixth floor on pool side was great. The service and cleaning excellent. One downside only: no coffee/tea or kettle in room but water is provided. Good basic... More

I am regular here and maybe my 3rd review of it; Improvements have been made (see last review) but a couple of basics still need more investment..... 1; WIFI;; ok, like 3 years after every other hotel in BKK they progressed to free wifi; but there is a SERIOUS problem...guys you need to spend a bit more on the infrastructure!... OK, I will not go on a total slag off of this hotel but merely express its shortcomings, Fabulously located on Suriwongse road with night markets a few seconds away on foot. Room is tired and dated but clean and they still give you in room safe, flat screen, good hanging space etc. Bathroom is old especially for room rate!!!... More

Recommended for solo travelers looking for a relatively low budget but clean hotel in Bangkok. The beds are not very comfy, rooms are small, view is terrible, and there's always a smell of Thai spices/cooking. Breakfast is limited but good. Staff are friendly. Definitely not recommended for couples and families.

Really nice, clean, inexpensive, friendly family run hotel 150 m from the hectic nightlife of Patpong yet providing a quiet residence at the end of a secluded but very safe Soi. Two further major benefits are; a) it's beautiful pool situated amidst a small green tranquil garden, a little oasis. b) it's fantastic restaurant, RUEN URAI serving Thai delicacies along... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
