I've been here 2 days, and I wasn't satisfied about the hotel. The room was not so bad, but very small and without Windows, I think that 40 usd for 1 night is a bit too expensive. There's a nice swimming pool on the rooftop, but the staffs, overall in the reception are really unfriendly. Overpriced!!!

apart from the fact that the building was being seriously revamped, so there was drilling and noise and dust throughout the day. There was also notices stating they had pest control in spraying chemicals everywhere in order to eliminate the pests. the rooms were clean but small and dark and you could still hear the noise from the bars on... Heard a lot of wow about this place from friends so we thought we would give it a try. The room was decent and the bed was average. Bathroom was clean and bright. Decor is nice. Pool was decent. The air con in the room started leaking at night (and it wasn't on a high setting..) so we had to... More

If you want to get physically assaulted and almost have a chair thrown at you, stay here. The counter staff are rude, racist and abusive! To make a formal complaint they even hide their staff id so you can't get their names. Definitely don't recommend staying here!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Chose this place because I've stayed in Khao San before and enjoy having everything at my door step. This place was half the price I paid at Khaosan Palace across the road and much better value for money. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. No window or balcony, and no fridge or safety box...but... More

We stayed at the D&D as usual on our arrival in Thailand. We travelled by train from Suvabarmi airport into Bangkok for 45 but each. Then a 200 bht taxi to the bottom of Khao Sahn road. The D&D is still being transformed. It must be 5years of work there now.Reception staff were as good as ever but the whole... More

Staff was good. Sun roof is good. Swimming pool is good, not deep so anyone can try a swim. Location is good too Construction was going on which created lots of noise. Hotel is on main street, so not complete silence in rooms can be experienced No windows in rooms Wash basin is too small for Wudhoo (Ablution)

D&D was alright. Didn't know they had renovations going on (for those reading this it's January 2016). The ground floor had no sheet or temporary walls of the reno area so u could see and hear all the construction work. At least from floors 3 and up there was wooden walls. Room was not bad, interesting system with card key... More

The only good things I could say about this place was the pool and locations. Those are probably the only reasons people stay here. The pool was very nice to escape the Bangkok heat. Location is good for a night out on Khao San. I stayed in a room without Windows because I didn't want it to be overloud and... More

We stayed her for 2 nights before flying home. There was building work going on which we didn’t know about when booking and was noisy in the mornings but earplugs sorted that out. Rooms were big and clean. We booked to have a balcony but this was more a very small, square to stand on then a balcony, but that’s... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
