I'ts a nice place on a quiet street near Khao San road. Quiet for Bangkok! Clean rooms with fridg, safe, tv, restroom with hot shower and ...windows...!!! What else ? Very good location to get to bus, boats, tourist information, taxis and, off course, Tuk-Tuk....!!!!!

It's a nice place on a quite street, nearby Khao San. There is a swimming pool, internet access (unfortunately not free of charge), few nice restaurants and pubs with live music on the same street. The room was clean, with big bed, air con working nicely, water to drink, refrigerator and a lot of space to put your language. We... More

Placed in one of the most beautiful streets in Kao San, full of life and near to the pubs and market. Good price and nice staff. Clean and comfortable room, special mention to the bed, really nice! Great place to stay in Bangkok.

New Siam 2 is ok. There's not much to it and for 840 baht a night- it's really not worth the money, when two doors down you get exactly the same for 550. Aswell as the room being overpriced, you have to pay for wifi- which is a bit of a joke considering the price of the room. Check out... More

Never again will I set foot in this place. After having booked - and paid for - a room a week ahead, when I arrived after 3,00 p.m. on a very hot day, the reception clerk (there were four of them creating an infernal confusion at the dsk) put me over the coals: 500 baht key deposit, 30 b. for... Very fine location, near the river and local transport. Room was ber quiet, clean enough and they clean the room upon your request. Will go there again next time. Friendly staff, altough they look overworked.

I have been a regular visitor to Bangkok for years and patronized New Siam long before there was a II, III, or a Riverside. Years ago New Siam II was a pleasant place to stay in Banglamphu, but for years I have been watching customer service go downhill. On this, my most recent visit, I think New Siam II has... More

Given the very ordinary nature of the facility, it's hard to rationalize braving the rudeness of the reception personnel. After having spent over a month traveling across Asia, I can safely say that the staff at New Siam II win a superlative for curt, surly "service". A heavy-set, middle-aged, glowering woman, who appears to be the manager; one small girl... More

(+) - For being so close to Khao San, this place is super quiet. I had some good nights sleep here. - The rooms are a bit outdated but still very clean. - Good value for money. (-) - You need to pay for wifi.
