From the moment we arrived at the Silom Serene Hotel, we felt right at home. The warm greeting and easy check in got us to our room expediently. They were kind enough to upgrade the room to a larger one. It had all the amenities one would expect and was tastefully decorated. The breakfast every morning was very good with... More

Very reasonable price for a hotel near the Silom area. The Hotel staff was good. The Rooms were abit dated, breakfast was limited in range. The location is very good but i think to remain competitive some upgrading will be required as they are newer hotels coming up around the area with discounted price on the rack rates. Parking bay... This very affordable gem of a 4 Star with pool and garden in the middle of frenetic Bangkok was quite a find. Nice quiet room (as I requested), friendly/helpful staff and quite good restaurant that's open late completes the picture. If I'd known, though, I'd have requested non-smoking floor but not a big deal with all the pluses.

The location of this hotel is good however me and my partner stayed here and it's was ok and cleanish the bathroom in our room was filthy, the room stank of smoke and we asked for a non smoking room, we couldn't use the pool as it was full of pack backers and students. It's ok for 1 night for... More

The Silom Sierene Hotel is conveniently located 5-10 mins from Sala Daeng BTS and Silom Metro stations and within a 20 minute taxi ride of many of the most popular tourist spots in Bangkok. In addition the lovely Lumphini Park is close by and there is plenty of night life including Patpong and Silom Road night markets. Our Deulux room... More

The location is excellent if you want to be near Silom Road. Close to Skytrain and Metro. Short hop to Siam and shopping centres in one direction and riverside in the other so good for sightseeing. Plenty of nearby nightlife, local shops, markets, etc, Very comfortable well-equipped rooms with good facilities (desk, TV/DVD player, kettle, fridge) and wifi access. Staff... More

We stayed two nights in the Silom area for a fix of Bangkok madness. Hotel is great. Staff really nice. Very conveniently located for going out, doing some shopping or visiting sights (skytrain is close to the hotel). Deluxe rooms overlooking the pool are a plus !

It is located in city center (mostly near shoppings mall and patpong)... For touristic places need to take metro or taxi... Comparing with price, hotel is averagely good... As summarize; hotel has an old building, poor message service(they bring staff from outside of hotel, sometimes they cancel it themselves...), poor breakfast(compare with turkish breakfast), large rooms... Good to sleep but... More

I have been staying at the Serene for over 10 years. Yes, I have tried other places but always come back because I DO feel at home there. The staff, from reception to the cleaning ladies, are so kind. The adjoining restaurant, where breakfast is served, is also great. (Happy hour there is very welcoming with its free WIFI and... More

Everything was great in the hotel, except one night when we arrive with a meal to warm, the restaurant staff ask us to pay to use the microwave. We were very disapointed. Except that the staff was very welcoming and breakfast was good.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
