Stayed there with a group of 16 school-aged students. Rooms were clean, small & basic with no extras. Shared shower & toilet, cold water only but clean. Bring your own towel & toilet paper. No power point in room but could charge phones in corridor. Convenient location to Ko San Rd and a range of eateries. Good budget accommodation.

Stayed in a double bed with A/C, private bathroom and paid 590 per night. Our room was located in the back of the building so was nice and quiet and had massive windows with lots of bright light. Arrived at the room and it was very clean with fresh bedding, bathroom was clean too and had hot showers. The bed... More

This place was reasonably good value for money. Stayed for two nights in double room with aircon. Having checked out about five other accommodation options of similar price, Merry V ticked most boxes, even though at lower end price-wise. Reception desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was largish and lclean, as was en suite bathroom. Central location. Towels, toilet... More

DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THE CHEAP PRICE! - Hostel is dirty, the beds are super uncomfortable. No toilet paper (costs extra money). - Loud. Noise all night from the outside pubs. - Was impossible to sleep and scary to be around, like a horror movie. - Only one power socket per room. - No wifi (should be, but never... More

The hostel located just behind Kao Shan road. A bus stop is just in front of the hostel. Jetty is walking distance. It is very convenient to travel to the city and jj market. Major of the rooms do not come with windows. It supply air cond if you wish to pay higher. Don't complaint too much if you are... More

Stayed at Merry V before in a double room with aircon and on-suite bathroom. This time I stayed in a single, 200 Baht room. Tiny room, real basic (bed, blanket and a little table, no towels). The room was clean and the receptionist gave me a towel without charging me. The lady at the reception was a bit of a... More

I stayed here back in 2009 and returned to eat downstairs in the hostel. The food is soo cheap $3-$4 Aud per asian meal and is of decent quality. If you are on a budget this is a really good option and very good for the price.

if you can find nowhere else to stay, this will do. I stayed in a 3 bed room. it was reasonably cheap (less than $10/head/night) but not cheaper than a lot of better-looking places, and for a reason: the beds were awful, like a very thin, hard futon with one blanket, terrible sleep, there was a drain pipe that kept...
