The hotel is very near(200 m) from the Bangkok railway station . The hotel was very traditional and the staff were friendly and adjustable . They allow early check in when they have rooms available without additional cost . We checked in at 9 am instead of the actual 12 noon . We booked the hotel through agoda and it... More

Stayed here because of its convenient location across the canal from Hua Lampong railway station. Good value rooms. Nothing special, but clean and comfortable. Would stay here again to be near the station for onward travel.

The hotel is placed just in front of Hua Lampong station, so it is perfect if you arrive from the airport (as you can get directly there by metro), and if you have to leave by train the day after. We choose it mainly for this reasons, and it has been the best decision ever, considering that it is also... More

This is an interesting old hotel, I really liked the decor and also the location was perfect. I was able to walk to the Golden Buddha and also was right near my train, which I needed to catch early in the morning. It was perfect for my stay.

We booked this hotel due to it's proximity to the train station where we would be leaving from to Chiang Mai. It was a good price and easy to find. The service at check-in was not very attentive and after not being acknowledged for a while we finally checked in. We had 2 adjacent rooms; one smelled of dampness and... More

The rooms are good. The best part is the location. Its just 2 minutes walk to Hua lamphong long distance and MRT stations. There are direct , extremely cheap trains to Ayuthaya (20 Baht) , Don Muang airport (5 Baht) etc. The staff are helpful . They also have a tour desk at the reception.

We stayed here for two nights in early December, although we do not like bangkok, this hotel is comfortable, quiet and very close to the train station which is perfect for us. The staff are accommodating and the room is very clean. They do fantastic room service as well with delicious foods, and offer and breakfast included deal. Would stay... More

We stayed here purely because we had to catch train from Hua Lamphong. Station is just opposite hotel. Because of this it is a bit noisy at night. Room was a good size but a bit outdated. Beds were very hard. On plus side air con was very efficient and shower was decent. Breakfast was also adequate. For the money... More

Stayed 1 night. Upon reaching by cab, we did the checked in and only to realised that we left a package inside the cab. Hotel staff was kind enough to arrange the cab driver to come back and return our package. Of course we paid another 100baht to the driver since its our fault. Rooms are ok with working hot... More

Room a bit small but cozy, nice bathroom without the bath tub. New towels changed everyday. Simple breakfast, choices of Asian or Western dish (porridge with shredded chicken or standard American breakfast) and free of breads, jam, butter, orange juice, water, coffee... Train station just across the road. Reasonable price. Free wifi but the signal keeps drop down all the... More

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
