I stayed here 28 years ago, and again this week for a couple of days. It seems like nothing has changed, even the price hasn't gone up much. I am sure each and every the staff member I saw except maybe one at the front desk were all over 60 years old. At 675 baht a night and two minutes... More

the room was very clean, great shower with a rain fall shower head. the location is litterly a 2 min walk out of bangkok's train station so it couldnt be in a more perfect place yet is extremely quiet. there is a restaurant downstairs that is perfect and really cheap. add breakfast onto your booking for just 1 baht for... I have stayed at this hotel in Bangkok many times. It is just near the Hualamphong Railway Station and handy to the metro, to Chinatown, and to the river. The rooms are very clean, with linen changed daily, the hotel is quiet, and the rates are excellent....under $30 for a double room with shower inside.

Location: Hua Lamphong Railway Station is located right in front of it at a 2 mins walk! You can take the MRT to this place from BKK terminal for just about 65THB! The Si Phraya water taxi station is at 20 mins walk. China Town is at less than 10 mins. Golden Buddha temple is right around the corner. Location... More

Stayed here for 6 nights in August while traveling around Thailand by myself. I was a bit hesitant at first to be honest, but after a night or so i grew to it. PRO's Directly across the canal from Hua Lumpong station, so getting around is easy. Provided you're okay with trains. Cabs to the centre of Bangkok are hard... More

The hotel has started renovation; interior renovation, with a minimum of noise. The only noise I could hear yesterday was a crying Japanese baby. The hotel wants to improve the property in order to provide better accomodation and service. I honestly think they have to, because there is lot of competition around the Hualampong station. I do hope prices will not... More

Began Bangkok travel by staying in this hotel and ended again with same hotel. staff were good, location was very near to the metro as well as chinatown. Distance from malls like MBK or silom areas is not very much (maybe 1.5km, walking distance). Value for money was good. Just 800 with AC and breakfast for two!

I have been staying at this hotel most years since 1986! Overall, it has seemed to change little in all that time, and I like it that way. There have been recent upgrades (flat screen tv, spring water each day, tea/coffee making each day, good western or chinese breakfast included) but it is basically a really nice old friend. I... Very convenient for Hualamphang train station - 3 mins walk over canal bridge. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel; it was quiet, very comfortable, clean, well furnished. Good selection of cable channels on TV. Easy walk into Chinatown and lots of eating options close by. Costs 200 baht more for walk-in bookings than booking in advance through booking.com or... More
