Knowing where the hotel is located in Soi Sunwichai better known for its residences and a nearby private hospital, I did not expect the hotel to be anything but functional at best. However, the rooms were surprisingly modern and comfortable, to the quality of a grand five-star hotel. The location turned out to be pretty convenient with easy access to... more

We picked this hotel because as a compromise as a decent hotel with easy access to the airport for a one night stay at th end of our trip to Thailand. Although it is not all that close, it is easy access to the airport with almost no time spent in city traffic before getting on the expressway. The staff... more

We stayed at the A-One for just 1 night before our return flight to London and we had a great stay: the room was beautiful (on Floor 17) with great views and well equipped (hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe, minibar) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The A-One is close enough to... more

Booked this on wotif as a one night stopover from Koh Samui back to Melbourne. My purpose was to have a day of shopping in Bangkok. Great value hotel. Firstly as a first impression the staff were welcoming and the hotel was quite impressive but tucked in the back of no-where, close to Bangkok Hospital. The room was really groovy.... more

I stayed here for one night in Dec 2006 as a stopover between arriving in Bangkok and departing the next day for a month touring SE Asia. I was in the hotel for only about 14 hours altogether, and it was fine for its purpose as an in-transit stay. Positives: -- I loved the decor of my room, done in... more

I booked this hotel through the website of the hotel. It has just been renovated. You pay the price of a 3 star hotel and you get the quality of a 5 star. The hotel offers 3 free shuttle busses from the hotel to downtown and there are plenty of taxi's. As the hotel is located at only 1 kilometer... more

It could be described as a central hotel, but unless you want to be near the Bangkok Hospital, it's a bit difficult to get to. On a narrow Soi about 10 minutes walk from the New Petchaburi Road, the only public transport is if you grab a passing taxi. Car travel from this hotel means you can easily get stuck... more
