... but it would be far better never not to check in to begin with! Call me picky, but these are what put me off while "renting a room at the Hotel California" - hairs on the bed - a toilet that would not flush - disgustingly dirty floors - no satellite tv reception - a probable scam (in my... Nothing, but only quiet surrounding. Location is far from anywhere, only 2 food vendors on the street, need to walk 15 mins to Soi 26 to find local restaurants. My room was flooded with water from the air con, is dangerous cos the television n sockets were just below the air con, the worker cant do anything and only know... More

Stayed in 2 different rooms over a 3-night period. Both rooms have got extremely dirty floors, dirty bathrooms, sinks, etc. The TV isn't working 100% of the times and you could find chewing gum stuck to the side of the wall. The water heater was malfunctioning at one of the rooms and despite getting the handyman to fix it, the... More

The staff was very nice and helpfull. It is also in a good location. The room was quite dirty- it seemed like a very surface clean, but after 5 minutes in the room you could see dirt on the floor, in the drawers and on the white seat under the desk. Nothing was plugged in as in the refridgerator and... More

... and it's quite cheap for the area. My room was OK, the bed was very nice. But the walls were not so clean, and the window didn't close - which I don't like, staying at the 1st floor. The view out of the window was not nice, facing a wall and looking at lots of dirt on the floor.... More

I stayed 1 night, got into Bangkok super early and had t wait for check in, but reception pointed me in direction of a cafe and let me use the wifi while i waited. I booked for a single room, but got upgraded to a double - the bed was super comfy, nice, bright room, good wifi, great shower. The... More

Stayed at Hotel California for the second time. Still an excellent find with everything we need nearby. Other guests, staff and neighbours were still great company and a pleasure to sit out the front and chat to them all in between the bouts of Bangkok shopping and dentists. Soi 30 is still nice and quiet despite the construction work going... More

Location- ok. Beds- ok. Price-ok. Not very clean- ook. Dead frog and some cockroaches-ok we can live with that. 3000 baht missing from our wallet- NOT ok. We had been in the atm the day before, so we knew exactly what we had. We got to pay 3000 less on the bill for the room, so it worked out well... More

These people are scammers. They claimed 3,000 baht was stolen from their room. How does this happen when there is a safe in every room. I gave them 3,000 baht off their bill, even though I believe 100% that they just wanted to stay for free! It has also taken them 3 months to write on here. They stayed another... More

By no means a 5 star hotel, however, our room was very adequate for our needs and it was a great value (800 THB = $24 USD per night). Brooke (owner) and Sarah (Front Desk) were very professional, courteous and helpful. Room had a small refrigerator and A/C that worked well, along with a hot-pot for heating water (coffee, tea,...
