This is an excellent location if you are planning on taking a bus to Koh Kood or Koh Chang from Ekkamai bus station - it is just across the street. Plenty of good food options nearby and sky train is on your doorstep. The rooms were simple but clean. They do a nice breakfast: you can choose from a selection... More

My experience started on a somewhat unpleasant note with the lady at the desk (manager ?) basically replying to my "sawadee krup" with "1000 baths" and no smile or salutation. Once I mentioned I had an Agoda booking, she remained speechless but searched for quite a while in a book and eventually found the reservation, then merely repeated "1000 baths... More

Good location only minutes from BTS. Quiet, clean room, helpful staff. Has everything needed for a short stay in Bangkok - free wi-fi, zircon, clean bathroom - without the frills of more expensive hotels. Will come again.

Hotel very basic and clean within a few blocks of BTS skytrain. Walls paperthin, so bring ear plugs. Breakfast is very basic. Your choice of Noodle soup or toast and jelly. Staff barely speaks English, but is nice and will store bags.

Close to BTS and Ekkamai bus terminal. Clean rooms. You can leave your luggage in the hotel for free after checkout. I think those who complain are those who never stayed in a budget hotel in Asia. And in Asia you can expect they serve Thai food in the morning. It is written on the window IN English.

This is a basic place; clean, but very bare-bones. The bed was very hard. The shower was on the bathroom wall, but no separate stall, so the toilet and floor got wet with every shower. We had to ask for another roll of toilet paper. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was no good for vegetarians (my only... More

Location is perfect. Right beside Major Sukhumvit, literally. Also a stone's throw away frm Ekkamai BTS and bus station, which is great if you're planning to go to Pattaya by bus after some time in the city. The room looks more than a b&b would with it's hard wood furnitures and super huge bathroom. Also, the breakfast here is real.... More

It's great value for money. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The location, only a 5 minute walk to bts station Ekkamay is ideal for visiting the Sukhumvit area. Breakfast is a bit unusual but really good. You can order a few thai dishes like noodle soup or rice. The best part however is the fact that... More

Stayed here for two days and can't really say much more other than the staff weren't the friendliest and the view (from the air con alcove) wasn't the best. Breakfast was useless. On the plus side , it was clean, tidy and not too expensive. Taxis stop right outside and it's right by the train station Thong Lo. It's a... More

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
