Location is good, room was reasonably clean, bed was comfortable, and it wasn't too noisy at night. The hostel is integrated in a fast food restaurant and lacks any flair. It is okay for just sleeping there one or two nights, but no place to linger.

The hostel is a guesthouse! It's above a fast food restaurant and is just a room with some bunk beds and fans. The beds are relatively comfy, seemed clean but everyone slept on top of the blanket it was so hot. I was there two nights and they only changed the sheets of the checkouts once. There is a light... I forgot some money in my dorms bathroom for an hour. The only two people that were in the room during that period were a guy, how didnt left the roomat all, and the cleaning lady. Im not sure how took it, but they surely did't help at all. The guy let me check all his stuff and it wasnt... More

This place has a great location!! A super easy Minutes walk from Khao San Etc and was even quiet, which is a treat! For the money it was fine, but totally 'Bangkok Basic'... Over priced for Thailand and lacking in home comforts, like light! Ha. But joking aside this place is fine and a lot better than other hell holes... More

Stayed at the Hello hostel for 2 nights in March. As a solo traveller I had booked for its proximity to Khao San Road. Just a 2 minute walk to all bars and nice restaurants on Ramboutee Road. The street that the hostel is on is also the main clothes market area so it gets quite busy. The rooms were... More

I booked this hostel and it was my first time visiting BKK. I stayed in a 10 people dorm. Comfortable beds, wifi included, shower was clean enough. Fans in the room worked well (no air-con) and staff spoke great English. For 200THB a night I was happy with the place. Computers downstairs were always available. So close to Khao San... More

I have been treated really badly by the staff. I asked for the password of the wifi and I couldnt understand what the lady has written. Therefore, she became really angry and shouted to me that I was asking too many questions. Furtermore, the toiletseats are broken and there is not hot water. The beds are comfortable.

Got back late by bus from Chumphon and rather than risk cowboy taxis and tuk tuks which surrounded the arrival at the bus stop I decided to look for the nearest place which was the Hello hostel.amongst the grimy buildings I paid 540 baht for a rear room (£12) with aircon and could have a second guest for an extra... Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
