We stayed here on our first two nights in Bangkok. The room was fairly spacious, double bed with clean sheets, shower and toilet were fine, and we had a desk and clothes rack. The room doors were fitted with hooks for your own padlock so it felt a bit safer when going out for trips. Our room was facing the... More

Suk11 is a sweet hostel in the amusement quarter of Sukhumvit, Bangkok. It is situated in a street with some bars and ongoing nightlife, so the evenings are quite loud. Officially until 1am but on the weekends it could also be 3am. The hostel itself is super sweet and clean. The rooms are very simple but the shower has warm... More

This hostel had good character but didn't really live up to the hype. The restaurant is pretty good. Room had good aircon but beds were quite average. Shower was warm. Nobody was that friendly there and probably a bit over priced for what it is.

This hostel has lots of character and charm. My single private room was 500 baht per night and it was nothing special, but comfortable and quiet enough. Free breakfast included was simple but nice. Convenient location - very close to skytrain station. Wifi only in a small areas, that could be better. Staff could be friendlier and more helpful, but... More

My partner and I stayed at Suk 11 and despite a good atmosphere and friendly staff regretted it after waking up to find bed bugs in our bed! I had over a hundred very itchy bites! I appreciate bed bugs can occur anywhere, however having since read other reviews of Suk 11 online it appears this is a long term... More

Under no circumstances should anyone stay here due to the fact that they have a massive bed bug problem. I stayed here 1 1/2 nights, the first night in a double room at the front of the building, which was super noisy, and the second night at the back on the third floor. I can't say for certain the first... More

I'm writing this whilst still here now. Brilliant hostel, friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. Room is great, basic but great shower and air con. The restaurants food is top notch, although much cheaper to eat on the street. Suk 11 is a great little getaway 10 metres from the madness of Bangkok

I was here 10 years ago and it's improved. A quiet and comfortable stay in what is now a lively street. It's very handy for the sky train and western and Thai restaurants. The area can be a bit unwholesome for some.

I am not looking for a fancy hotel when I had to book a place to stay for 3 nights in Bangkok. I only wanted a simple, clean and strategically located venue that I can conveniently access transportation especially preempting the busy streets of the city. But never did I imagine that the "exotic reviews" by most solo backpackers would... More

The hostel is very cool "jungle style" decorated. Really looks like you're somewhere in the woods. Photos on their site look a bit better than in reality, but rooms are still clean-ish and fairly priced. We paid 900 baht (24euro) for a ensuite room for 2 persons per night (meaning your own shower and toilet). Personell could be a little... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
