Was nice lobby although there was a very weird smell, room was just ok especially in comparison to places we stayed at in phuket for the same if not less..the rooms were a bit dated and the air-con was very noisy think my room was 512.. The hotel manager did threatnin to call police on us as there was a... more

We stayed in Bangkok for 3 days prior to heading down south to the islands. Our stay at the Viengtai Hotel coincided with the start of the Songran Festival, or new Year festival. Being centrally located in the historic part of Bangkok, you just need to step outside of the front door to take in the busy atmosphere. Rambuttri Rd... more

I was in hotel five times. Location is excellent - about 50 m from Khao San. I lived in standard rooms and in superior too. Standard rooms were in January renovated, but I think, that not all rooms. Breakfasts are average - every day the same food. But the quality of food was very good. Services are inferior. Never take... more

Great find, right on the khao san road. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, very welcome after 2 weeks in the islands. Great value for money, would stay here again. more

We had a room that could accommodate the 5 of us. Our 6 yo son slept in the king size bed with us while the 2 girls had a single bed each. We were on the same level as the pool although we only got to use it once during our 2 night stay. It was clean and refreshing. Checkin... more

Avoid this hotel at all costs. The price is wildly out of proportion for the area and on arrival it appears that the money has all been spent on the marble floor in the hotel lobby. The hotel is playing on its proximity to Khao San road to justify its prices, but the truth is that for a fraction of... more

It has a nice restaurant and lounge area other facilities include a swimming pool for guests. Very central in Bangkok good location for going out. Quite far from... more

We booked to stay in this hotel just for one night and wished we had paid that little bit more and got a better class hotel. We arrived and it took ages to get any acknowledgement, getting to our room was fine until they had booked us into a twin room when we booked a double. We were then changed... more

I had no idea what I was getting into, just went off of a suggestion from a friend of a friend, and it ended up being a lot better then I thought. I am one who likes to know exactly what I am getting into... looking online, checking out the sites and reviews, but we needed a place to stay... more

Stayed in the Viengtai as a meeting point for a tour... didn't expect much, and got about that. The staff weren't particularly helpful and seemed too busy answering phones or serving people that queued up after you.. when you get someone to help at checkin, hopefully they remember they are trying to check you in/out (we were forgotten). However, not... more
