I stayed at this hotel back in 2009 and it hasn't changed much. The lobby is nice but once you get upstairs the hallways are dark and warm. The rooms are quite large and air-conditioned but old and worn. I'm not sure why, but there is a large step into the bathroom which has a considerably lower ceiling and is... More

we've been here for 5 nights.we got bad service with disrespectfull attitude by the recetption staff. Invest just a little more and go to a better hotel not far.the khao san area is full of hotels and hostels. Be wise and stay away. They will ruin your holiday by their negative attitude.they see the tourists as cash machines... Ugly

We have stayed here a few times and find the hotel to be a great choice - well located, lots of food options and things to see and do at the door step and good staff. Rooms are large and well appointed. Issues (if you have any) are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. Breakfast is well catered... More

first time backpackers felt safe, clean hotel, friendly staff and excellent location, only 5 minutes from koh san road so quiet enough away from but easy enough to walk too. would most definitely stay again!

The only thing that is good about this place is that it is in a convenient location (rambuttri road). Otherwise the place is terrible. The bathroom is old and needs a good clean (soap scum and mold all over the shower screens). The bedsheets are patched in several places which would've been acceptable in a hostel but not a so-called... More

Our first few nights were spent in rooms at the back side of the hotel. They were clean and quiet. On the last night in this hotel (after a 12 day tour) we had rooms on the 7th floor but facing the road. Was quite noisy but didn't stop us from sleeping - we were pretty tired though! The pool... stayed here as part of our intrepid tour. While at first we thought the location was great at first we soon realised when it was time to sleep that it really was unbelievably loud till about 3am. the rooms were clean and had a large bed, the bath/shower was very small in height you had to bend low if you... Rooms were a good size. Nice powerful shower. Clean towels. Comfortable beds. Literally above a bar so if you want to feel like the live band is playing in your room then stay here. This goes on until 1/2am??? Good location.

Out of my budget, but splurged. We'll worth it.. Clean and comfortable. Considering its in the heart of the Bangkok traveller chaos it's very quiet in the rooms. Best of all there is a pool in the back that is so legit. After a long day in the heat and crowds it is an oasis. You feel like you're not... More

This hotel is fine if you just want a basic room and a place to dump your stuff. However if you want sleep you won't get any, it's on a very busy road. I didn't mind this but what I did mind was that the porter was incredibly rude when we didn't tip him. This made me feel unsafe at... More

Dear Catherine Thank you for your detailed feedback on your last visit. It comes as a frustration hearing one of our associate lacks of manner. This is not a representation Viengtai set out for in any circumstances. I have investigated this issue and did reprimand to the person in subject as safety of our guest is priority.
