Normally I consult TripAdvisor before booking any hotels and I don't know how I missed the bad reviews on the Hotel Manhattan in Bangkok, Thailand. We were booked there for a 7 day stay~ luckily in the middle of it we took off for 2 days in Cambodia. This hotel is by far the worst I've ever experienced and it's... more

The Manhattan is a bit tired but they are renovating it bit by bit. The corridors need new carpets and a coat of paint. The prices have increased for approx $A 37 a night to around $A57 per night on our last stay. There is a pool which is average sized and it is fine to cool off in and... more

We had a day in Bangkok before we started our Asia trip. The Manhattan is in a good location but that and the fact that it has a pool is about all the nice things that can be said about it. The hotel looks like it needs to be renovated. The room and hallways look very tired. It does have... more

Very good location with Nana and Asoke train stations within 5 minutes walk. Rooms are ok considering the price, this is not a luxury hotel so do not expect too much, the breakfast is ok but it is all self service, would stay there again for the location and price. more

Stayed there recently due to close proximity to the place where I will be conducting Business. Have a very bad impression after that, and subsequent visits I avoided it completely. Outlook of building entrance - reasonably impressive. Lobby - in fact quite tastefully furnished One adjacent restuarant - serves quite a wide variety of dishes for breakfast Over the counter... more

I advise you NOT to stay at this hotel. My friend and I were recommended to stay here by a travel agent in Bangkok. We booked for 1 night before flying to Koh Samui. This hotel is absolutely filthy. Not just the bedrooms which were thick with dust, damp stains down every wall, black dirt around the baths but also... more

I would say we stayed at this hotel but that would be a lie because we didnt dare do anything after the coakroaches were found. We arrived at the hotel at about 4pm. The hotel lobby is fine but the lifts are filthy, the carpet doesnt fit the floors and is stained and dirty. The rooms are old, tired, damp... more

I booked through asiarooms.com Peak Season: Jan 21, 2008 I pre-booked the Manhattan, Soi 15 for my last night in Thailand. This hotel does not look like the pictures online! Not a clean, friendly place to stay. The hotel is in an Indian area. My room was really old, dark, stinky and stained. Wouldn't return even for a cheaper price!... more

The Hotel was in a good location and staff were friendly I would recommend the Thai massage which was excellent and good value for money, our stay was spoilt however by discovering an infestation of cockroaches I pointed this out to reception and was given another room but this too had a cockroach problem when we checked out I asked... more
