We were pleased to find this conveniently located hotel at a difficult time of day. The room was OK the bathroom was lavishly appointed 30 years ago, but beginning to look a little tired. The staff were polite but not warm. There was NO computer to use except, with a little reluctance, in the back office. The staff weren't much... More

Oh dear - noisy inside and out. You have to run the gauntlet of rough sleepers to get into the hotel. Staff are very unhelpful. You have to pay for very slow Internet. I wasn't brave enough to try the pool. On the plus side the location is very convenient. Breakfast opened too late for me as I had an... More

This is NOT the first impression you should have of Bangkok Thailand... booked this hotel via Bangkok Marathon organization since it's close to the start/finish point beside Grand Palace, but had no idea this hotel is so bad... outside the entrance there were homeless people sleeping on the street, inside lobby the smell is bad, the whole place looks empty,... Been here for 3 nights. Safe spot and nearby train station and mall. Very fascinating they call the town here Japanese Town. The hotel provided free shuttle service on a tuk-tuk. The breakfast spread yummeh! Overall a wonderful hotel with reasonable price. Recommended!

Walking distance to Khao San road and other major attractions. The interior seems a bit tired, I can imagine it was quite grand in its day, wide sweeping staircase and large foyer. The room was average but clean, air-con just about worked. Pleasant staff, value for money!

What I loved most about this hotel is its location, it's about 10 min from khao San road and on the other side 10 min. walking from the emerald Buddha , royal palace and reclining Buddha . The hotel itself is nice, it's clean ,safe, helpful staff

As a regular visitor to Bangkok I was expecting the warm welcome that Thai people are renowned for alas I was wrong. My wife had booked the hotel for a three day break as a treat for me as she knew I wanted to visit the Emerald Bhudda Temple. we arrived early evening and greeted by a polite doorman, it... More

I have spent 3 nights in this hotel and as I was expected something outdated...I was surprised. Hotel was very pleasant, nice stuff, excellent location...I would come back without doubts. I recommend when you want to stay in the center and you don t want to pay a lot :)

Plus points were the bed was ok, air con worked in rooms, shower worked ok and breakfast was ok and there is a pool (sun loungers looked rather rickety though). It's very close to Khao San Road (backpackers street) which is awesome for people watching if u park yourself up at a bar :-) Bad points: lots of inter-room noise.... More

Visited here August 2013 with a friend, booked through STA travel along with a trip round the temples of Bangkok. Basic facilities in rooms, really clean but no wifi anywhere in the room (not great when you've just arrived in Thailand and want to let people know you're safe!). Staff were mainly okay, helpful with pointing out Khao San road... More
