Large (27 floors) comfortable hotel used by many groups. Rooms have all you might expect - including massive separate shower cubicle - but no safe. Swimming pool OK but limited number of recliners. We stayed in Royal Benja just for 2 nights since Bangkok was our first stop to Phuket. Hotel si ok, can't say great, just average. Good for those who stayes in Bangkok for one or two nights as we did. Stuff is not so cooperative, they speak lousy english and you have to ask one thing several times before you... more

I booked online for 4 nights. I cancelled and checked out the following morning. Get the point? This was probably a great hotel back in the 80's, but they obviously did nothing to upkeep it for the last 20 years. Unless you're Indian (all the guests are) or easily impressed, don't stay here. more

This was my third stay at the Royal Benja and there were improvements . The main improvement was in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast . This hotel is mainly for cheap package tours. you'll see buses parked in front of the hotel.so dont expect too much. first the rooms, well they took me back to 1970's. nasty carpet, old furnitures,etc. romms are pretty good size but thats about it.
