no window that opened in the room and felt very stuffy and when I ask to move to room with a window that can open the receptionist said she can't after telling that I was asthmatic and needed an airy room.Sttaff were not too friendly, professional and gentleman at reception in the morning did not once have the courtesy to acknowledge... I agree with other commenters - the staff are very friendly and the location is great. It's about 25 minutes walk along nightlife nexus Silom Road to Sala Daeng skyrail + Silom metro or a little less to Chong Nomsi or Sathon. The river and ferries to get you to other attractions are about 15-20 minutes in the other direction.... More

Once I discovered Silom City Hotel several years ago it became the only place I stay when in Bangkok. Location is very good, street food places and restaurants around the corner and both sides. Stores my luggage free when I travel in Asia and come back. Great breakfast included. Great price value, and even newly remodeled rooms. But it's the... More

Have stayed at Silom City every time we have visited Bangkok. Great location, friendly staff - perfect value for money. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are spacious, you are close to BTS, and in the middle of local life! Will return!

Loved my stay here, everyone was very nice and helpful and I stayed here 2 extra nights for its convienence. It's close enough to everything you need, 5 minute walk to train station and very quiet with a clean and tidy room. Recommend to anything wanting a good cheap deal in Bangkok

Pros: Placed in typical Thai area. Rooms are newly renovated. Breakfast has good variety. Cons: 1 km away from BTS station. (Tuk and Taxi drivers really charge more than BTS and not even fast due to road traffic) Not surrounded by restaurants. (street food options are there if you like)

Great location, nice hotel & very friendly people. I have been in this hotel for 18 years now, I'm one of the first customer and years after years it became my second home. Owner, GM & staff are very nice people, very humble persons well educated, faithful and very respectful to each employee. It is one of the best area... More

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bangkok. I love this hotel, again nothing could be faulted in the hotel. While it is correct it the hotel is a bit old fashioned and a throwback from the 80s, I find it adds to the character, the rooms are impeccably clean, and the beds are comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful as... More

Comfortable but slightly old-fashioned room. Clean and comfortable but the hotel could do with a make-over. Good central location just off Silom Road. 7-11 right across from the entrance. Market stalls and restaurants all around you (on Soi 20 ?). Good service from reception. Our room (9th floor) was very comfortable with great views in 2 directions, towards the Lebua... More

Good hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Quite a grand front garden and and lovely reception area. The room itself was sufficient, clean, but dated. Peaceful at night, air con. Didn't have the breakfast there. Location is quite far to walk from silom underground station. But managed to find, no problems.
